  1. I feel sorry for my brothers who have got season tickets in the Chapel. I've sat with them a couple of times now, and there are a couple of blokes behind who talk crap for the whole 90 minutes. It is so difficult sometimes to resist the urge to ask them to stop spouting so much crap within my earshot.
  2. It would level the playing field a bit. Lots of multi-nationals don't actually pay the full rate of CT, so giving the same levels of tax to SME's would give them cash to expand.
  3. The facts are that the banks were happy to take billions of our money to cover for their reckless ways, but they don't then fulfil their part of the bargain by lending to get the wheels of the economy turning. In the meantime, like pigs at the trough, they continue to pay themselves an exhorbitant amount. The mafia have got nothing on the banks.
  4. The trouble is VAT rises proportionately affect the low-earners more than the high earners. The trouble with Cameron's government is that they are hell bent on following their ideologies and are blind to other options. They have handled reducing the public purse clumsily, have done nothing yet to cut off money to the spongers and won't works, and haven't seen the increase in tax-revenue because there is no growth. The banks are the key to the economy growing, but they are not lending, and Osborne doesn't know what to do. I'd like to see a reduction in corporation tax. It might decrease our revenues short term, but long term we would get more businesses growing and less to pay in dole handouts.
  5. I would imagine that the workers about to be thrown on the scrapheap at Bombardier would say it was more than a judgement call or a fiasco. Why they didn't restart the tendering process I will never know. But then its only a few more northerners out of work.
  6. It wasn't 'hand-tieing' legislation.
  7. Joiurnos are a load of unprincipled phone hacking c*nts. I don't bother with papers anymore.
  8. Labour introducced mass unemployment? 1.5 million. Thatcher skilfully doubled this. I think the Tories are happy with a bit of unemployment, because their businesses can get away with paying their staff less.
  9. Good news for Derbyshire. Are these new jobs more than the number lost by the Government in the Bombardier fiasco?
  10. I thought Barney looked quite sharp against Brighton, Connolly is a class act, Guly could play up front on his own, or Steve De Ridder could play up front. If Ricky got injured we may have to change our tactics a bit, but that's what all good sides do. We have good players that will create lots of chances for whoever.
  11. Cortese's strategy seems to be to buy players who could play in the league above. Hence the signings of Lambert, Fonte, Chaplow, Fox, Guly etc. I don't see the point in loaning the Coventry forward and then buying him in January. We have cover in the forward positions, he isn't better than our first choices, and I'm not sure he could play Premier League. Much better to wait until January. If we keep playing the way we are, we will be serious promotion candidates and Nigel would be in a position to sign better players than the loans that are being talked about now.
  12. This is the free-market working in its unfettered way. Survival of the fittest. It's why we have employment legislation, because you can bet that if we didn't, these fatcats would be paying you next to sod all and your conditions would be crap. Unfortunately, the Tories and their big business backers want to soften this legislation. Leopards don't change their spots.
  13. So a few chants are arrestable but fighting isn't? Typical police.
  14. How about ManC*nt to a man, and c*nt to a c*nt.
  15. Suarez should have just called Evra a c*nt. Then everyone would be happy. It's a great and powerful word.
  16. We would have gone down the season he was sacked. He wasn't the best.
  17. F*cking hell, I bet the money markets of Europe are sh*tting themselves. You are fast becoming my favourite poster, keep it up.
  18. As much as some people don't want to be in the Euro, I can't see their logic in wanting to see it fail. It would be a catastrophe for countries outside of the Euro, as well as in.
  19. You could be a guinea pig in any trials, what with having such a low benchmark to start with. You never know, by the end of the trial you might have conquered joined up writing, or acquired reasonable debating skills.
  20. Fair play you whingeing f*cker. I didn't realise you had a sense of humour.
  21. Better than being a pr*ck.
  22. Dune, you must be really proud of the Tories and the robust way they are treating immigration. Why didn't anyone else think that cutting staff from the Borders Agency, and counter this by merely telling them not to check people as they were coming into the country, was the way to go.. Absolute genius. Well done Theresa, I certainly know our security is safe in your hands.
  23. What difference does it make which paper reported this disgraceful act? The disrespect and ignorance shown by this 16 year old is quite appalling and a real slap in the face to anyone who has been brave enough to fight for our country.
  24. We overplayed in the attacking third. A little bit like we were taking the mickey. I reckon Nigel gave them a bit of a talking to after the game. Fonte spent all night trying to play Hollywood balls to Lambert, losing us quite a bit of posession in the process. That said, a win is a win. Well done lads, no easy games in this league as proved by West Ham only drawing at home to Bristol City. The league table looks the b*llocks at the moment.

    Adkins

I would be more than happy if Adkins was continually overlooked for the curse that is Manager of the Month.
