Blackpool fined for fielding weakened team
Wade Garrett replied to Jimmy_D's topic in General Sports
I think Blackpool could go down. Would wipe the smug grin off Holloway's face. If they go down by the odd point, he might come to regret putting his reserves out against Villa. What a mug. I quite liked him until he was so 'gracious' about his Cup defeat to us. -
Liverpool haven't really broken the bank for Carroll by paying £35million. Their January business was quite shrewd in that they have virtually swapped Torres and Babel (one who didn't want to play, and the other who has never really looked the part), for Suarez and Carroll (both very promising, both young and keen to do well). I am pretty sure they would not have sold Torres if they didn't get Carroll. Whereas Newcastle just wanted the money and made Pardew look like the boardroom apologist that he is.

More importantly, did anyone go into that pub near the ground that was totally unprepared for more than half a dozen punters. One bloke behind the bar, and it was very busy. Had to resort to sneaking a few cans in from the minibus.

Davis was badly at fault for the first goal, poor decision to come charging out of his box for a ball that was 50/50 at best. He did make some decent saves in the second half though. Thought Chaplow played well, and Fonte was excellent at the end when they were throwing everything at us. N'Guessen did really well for our first goal. I was pleased to see Harley get subbed, thought him and Noble were excellent in midfield. If they carry on like that for the rest of the season they'll take valuable points off our promotion rivals. Good to see Adkins has added a bit of bottle/character to the team.

Who voted for Tommy NoFingers?

Matty is a club legend for what he did for us on the pitch, however this was a little tainted by his part in the Pinnacle fiasco that nearly cost the club Liebherr and its future. Benali a legend? Never, yes he always gave 100%, but lets face it, he wasn't a good player. I am still amazed to this day that he played 300 odd games in the top division. I haven't got a clue about Benali's legal problem with Cortese, and to be honest, I couldn't give a toss. Bloody stupid talking about it on the TV though.

Hairy Dickhead and Dopey Scottish ***t (if you include their middle names)
-
Let's see how many pages we can get on Mackail-Smith.
-
If Blackpool sell Adam, they will find it very tough to stay up this season. A 3rd division striker isn't exactly going to save them.

Good, she's the sexist bully that used to beat up her husband, Grant Mitchell. Allegedly.

That's true, the Hampshire and Wessex Leagues are no better than parks football nowadays, and the Southern League is about as strong as the Wessex League was 20 years ago.

Sky have given enough rope for the arrogant Gray to hang himself with. If Charlotte was my daughter(from the clip on an earlier post), I'd want to smash Gray's head in. I'm glad he's gone, hope Keys follows him out the door. Jeff Stelling is their best presenter by a country mile, and as an added bonus seems like a nice bloke, and not an arrogant c*nt.

Sky have a legend on the payroll who could f*cking lose Hairy Keys and his Scottish mate. Step forward Mr Jimmy Hill.

What a boring transfer window. With 1 point from the last 2 games, and no goals scored against very ordinary opposition, I am now of the mind that our squad isn't strong enough at present to go up top 2. Sign a couple more decent players please, and if AOC wants to go, set up an auction. F*ck what him and his old man want, the old man showed us a complete lack of respect with his Sky interview.
-
If no talks have taken place, then his dad (and agent) is totally out of order giving this interview to Sky. If he wants to go tell Arsenal £10million up front, or f*ck off. Man City would pay it.

I hope James Purnell is given a return to politics by Milliband E. He and David Milliband would have trounced the ConDems. The two Ed's are very much second choice for me, but to be fair, they're not up against much.
-
Just like 95% of the ConDem cabinet then.

Agreed.

If you really think we don't need to buy...
Wade Garrett replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Austin, Harley and Woolford would do for me. To be honest though, I can see the sense in waiting until the Summer, when, if we get promoted, a whole host of other players would be in our reach. The present squad is more than capable of getting us up this season. -
Or maybe it is just bull made up by journos to fill column inches. No sources, just a good old fashioned punt.

That must be one of the most idiotic arguments I've seen on here, and when you think of the crap that Dune posts on a regular basis, that really is saying something. Remind me how many billions the taxpayer paid to save the banks....

Facebook is for sad f*ckers. I am not on it.

I reckon it's a load of ****e. If the player wants to stay and the club want him to stay, he will stay. What is 'leaked' to the papers will not make a blind bit of difference. Whoever is mischief making is wasting their time.

2 years learning Spanish would have given you a very good start in learning Spanish.

I have changed my mind on this one. Yes £10million is astronomical, but now we have a bit of cash why don't we try to keep our young starlets and build the team around them. Imagine where we could be now if we were able to have kept Bale and Walcott.
