Saints 1 V 0 Bristol Rovers, post match sighs of relief..
Wade Garrett replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
I was really puzzled why we switched Forte and Guly in the first half. Dickson and Forte down the left side were excellent. Thought Dickson, Forte and Connolly looked good today. Less impressed with Butterfield (a real off day for him), and Hammond and Stephens didn't get hold of the game in midfield. Rovers really parked the bus today, quite often they had 10 men behind the ball. Despite this we still created a number of chances, and to the players credit they didn't panic. -
We are going to hammer the carrott crunchers tomorrow.

Even Norman Tebbit, every right-wingers wet dream, is firmly against the Government plans for the NHS.

Was it made with special bricks?

He'll get off easy if the jury are Saints fans.

Nursery schools are good for young kids development, although for a lot of career parents it's just a glorified babysitting service.

I've never heard it called that before you pervert. -
The Diamond - more problems than solutions?

I think we'd go 4-4-2 all day long if Lallana amd AOC are fit. Unfortunately they're not so Nigel is trying to make us harder to break down. Personally, I think we have enough in the squad to roll most teams over with 4-4-2. Certainly sounded better in the second half last night. -

Hardly appropriate in MacDonalds though. -
I reckon we'll sign 2 or 3 decent players in the Summer, financed by AOC's transfer.

Match day rituals make no difference to the outcome of a football match you mad bastards. -
Bullsh*t. I have 2 kids, both at school, and despair of the lazy f*ckers who drive their kids to school and think they can park where they like. W@nkers.

He was garbage. Easily as bad as Askham, not a patch on Woodford. He would rather use the club's money to prop up the share price than spend it on players, he didn't back his managers, and he gave the useless Wigley the job. Our Youth system in the 70s and 80s produced a lot more quality players than Rupert's did.

He looks like Peter Beardsley's lovechild.

Apparently we're after Hu Fuk-isi from Grampus 8 in Japan.

No it hasn't. It was good when I was a nipper (I'm 41 now). There were loads of decent shops and it was thriving. It owes its demise to out of town supermarkets and Vospers closing down. You sound like a bit of a snob.

We haven't even hit form yet. We're bound to sooner or later. Winning breeds confidence. We'll win the next three because we prepare for one game at a time and we're all on the bus.
-
So we've only lost their twice in the last 8 seasons. Don't be such a miserable b*stard, we're well due a win there and I reckon we're just about to hit a bit of form.

Woolston is still the b*llocks. The main problem is that a lot of the pubs around Merry Oak and Weston have closed, so the pondlife whose sad existence seems to revolve around drinking their benefits money go to Woolston instead. The parents scene in the original post is typical of anywhere, not just Woolston. The area has really suffered since Vospers shut down. There are too many empty shops and it generally has become a bit of a sh*thole of late. Hopefully the big new development on the Vospers site will restore the area to former glories.

I thought the it was quite funny. Harry Hill is a genius. Will probably donate a fiver. Still get annoyed when I see those poor Africans suffering while their corrupt leaders have pointless wars, hoard cash for themselves and don't seem to give a toss about their people.

FWIW, I've been told he's definitely not coming.
