  1. F*ck off you patronising c*nt. I have a different opinion than you have. I remember scientists telling us a few years ago that we would have a Spanish climate in the UK in 20 years time. I believe that climate change occurs naturally on Earth, and history seems to bear me out. You have a different opinion than me, but that's all they are, opinions.
  2. I don't blame the cabbies for making extra money at Christmas. I'd rather be on the razzle New Years Eve than working, so fair play to them. Supply and demand. Basic economics. If it's good enough for the City, it's good enough for the cabbies. There needs to be a clampdown on foreigners driving red plates without a taxi licence though. It's definitely a problem. This is not racist, but I know one bloke (himself a taxi driver), who wouldn't pay an asian driver because he refused to show him his taxi id. (This, incidentally, was because the passenger had to give directions to the driver from town to his home in Woolston). When challenged, the driver drove off without collecting his fare.
  3. http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/climate-change/the-uk-may-be-cold-but-its-still-a-warm-world-says-met-office-chief-2165492.html So these experts brush off the freezing weather in the UK and all over Western Europe, but justify global warming by saying it is a bit warmer in Greenland. Talk about being selective to justify your argument.
  4. Harley at Exeter gave us the right runaround at St Marys last year and is far better than Hammond or Morgan.
  5. I remember the days when looking at a bit of gash in Escort or Razzle did the trick. Now people want to see all sorts of things inserted into people on t'internet. F*cking weirdos.
  6. Thrush, are you a teenager?
  7. It's not just down to the price of coal though. You need to factor in the savings in the welfare budget that employing miners would create, along with the revenue from income tax and NI.
  8. Can I call you thrush?
  9. What the f*ck would you know about the real world?
  10. Surely it would be cheaper to mine our own coal rather than be held over a barrel by our foreign suppliers? The shipyard contracts were lost to foreign competition because of the subsidies they received from their governments. We chose not to, and consigned ourselves instead to paying it out and more anyway in Unemplyoment Benefit.
  11. Finally you say something I agree with. Some people getting more than 1 vote was plain wrong. LAbour elected the wrong leader and I suspect he'll never be able to win us an election. I voted for David and firmly believe he would be trouncing the ConDem rabble far more effectively than his brother.
  12. You really are a boring c*nt.
  13. I think we should go for Mr Murphy Master Baker.
  14. Brown loved privatisation as much as Keith Joseph. Internal markets in the NHS? madness.
  15. Andy Dibble? He's ****e.
  16. Trouble is, it might have helped those lucky enough at the time, but it didn't help anyone after. My first property was a third of the size of my parents house (which they bought under right to buy), but 4 times more expensive.
  17. The problem with capitalism is that the banks eventually run out of their money, and the money entrusted to them by their customers, so they have to rely on governments to bail them out to the tune of 100s of billions. Then the c*nts start paying themselves big bonuses again. F*cking chinless arseholes.
  18. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
  19. Was he? If Thatcher hadn't destroyed the coal and steel industries (out of spite), they would all still be working. Another thing that your wet dream got wrong.
  20. The Tory council in Southampton have employed a spin doctor on over £80k a year, and is expecting bin men and dinner ladies to take a 5% pay cut. Labour don't have the monopoly on waste.
  21. If their contract is similar to mine, we have all the night, weekend and bank holiday rates factored into our salary. Sundays and bank holidays probably have the same rate.
  22. It would be interesting to know if these negotiations have been dragging for weeks and months, or if the union are chancing their arm in a 'got them over a barrel' way. Negotiations are just that. Compromise on both sides to move the company forward.
  23. Two very different posts. My attitude towards this depends on who is right. I believe you should always honour your contractural obligations. If you want to change them, then get round the negotiating table. We had to make concessions to our management to end Boxing Day working. It's all about give and take.
  24. I'd put tax avoiders like Phillip Green in the same loathsome bracket of scum who defraud the benefit system. 'But Phillip Green emlploys lots of people'. Doesn't change the fact that he should pay his fair share.
