  1. If you get over the aversion to seeing the initials PO (not my favourite post code) then it’s not a bad sponsor depending on the ££ obviously
  2. Wasn't the design they tried to influence a copy of the Monaco kit ?
  3. Though the ban only started in 2026/7 rather than the coming season
  4. Vast improvement on Salisu's efforts.
  5. Perhaps main reason we’ve signed him. Forget all the which system bollocks we’ve read about Still’s tactical nous. He’s going full on Pulis next season

Added to which is how things work with his coaching staff if they're not part of his team . Lallana for example is older and a more experienced player with caps and medals. How might that fit into the coaching team if he stays ?
  7. I’ll be amazed if Leicester appoint Martin fully aware of the feeling among fans. But then again we know how decisions are made without fully thinking it through by the muppets in charge.
  8. Okay, I stand corrected. But still think Neville is a twat.
  9. Martin deserves all the criticism coming his way after our shit show this season, but it's a bit much coming from Neville. As cast aside and ex-managers who believe their own publicity and guff go, Neville should be commended with a category of his own, a Lifetime Non-Achievement Award.

Ken Monkou (if you want to keep it Saints related).
  11. Was hoping we might have had an exchange involving Cooper at Sheff Utd had they gone up ( with some £ coming out way as well, and not on a loan). Not to be.
  12. It’s him and two brothers isn’t it ? I suppose the collective noun for three brothers at the club is a ‘Wallace of Saints’.
  13. Risk with any appointment. I’m not convinced by it, but who knows ? By Christmas we might be hoping we stave off interest from West Ham after Potter fails, or we could be going on another meltdown in October wondering why Spors appointed him in the first place.
  14. I’ve read this in a few places but not convinced of the significance. Better than scrabbling around a few days before player’s return certainly. But It’s only good to have it done early if it’s the right choice. Not sure what input he’ll have if any over the next few days. If he sits down with some of the players to outline he wants to keep them etc then fine, but if they all piss off on holiday before he sets foot in Staplewood then what’s the point ? (No guarantee they’ll stay of course but I’d hope efforts were made). If Rohl goes to Leicester next week for example then it would seem we’ve missed what has been reported as our no 1 target for the sake of just getting it done.
  15. Fair point. Out of interest did he sign for Still originally as well ?
  16. If Still is officially confirmed then I’m fully expecting a poll: Lucy P or Emma S ?
  17. You’ll have to remind me. Any photos ?
  18. Well done Goodymatt, I think we’d gone about a dozen posts before his Mum was mentioned. I was getting worried I was on the wrong forum.
  19. Having a young and inexperienced manager may also make it a harder ‘sell’ to bring players in. If you’re the young PNE right back (ok on loan from Villa) and have the option of Saints whose manager - rightly or wrongly - is portrayed as this upstart who learnt from playing on a computer, or Coventry whose manager has won everything going, which has the reputation and gravitas ? That said most sign for £ and don’t give a shit about anything else.
  20. No. Have never seen the point of names on the back of shirts (especially adults).
  21. Better than having his name printed on the back of your shirt
  22. I wasn’t sure if you meant as potential Saints manager or if referring to scouting players of just Saints or both sides. None of us know how far advanced his talks with Saints are, if at all. If he thought he had a chance of coming to us,then he might be looking at City players, some of whom might be released. If he isn’t heading to Saints but somewhere else (QPR, or even dropping down to Notts County) then watching players who might be released from either club could have been the intention. On the other hand he might have just fancied a trip to a match, leaving his wife in peace to watch Chelsea Flower Show on BBC2.
  23. Interesting names. Of the three I think only Sargent might be attainable. I think he’s quite underrated actually, opposition fans see a tall bloke with a mop of ginger hair and that’s it. But he’s scored a few for Norwich, seems to get through a lot of work for the team (and caused us a few problems didn’t he at St Mary’s).Yes, old fashioned but a good centre forward would go a long way to improving things. Sainz - bound to have other offers so probably won’t want to stay in the Championship. Rudoni - why leave Coventry for us ? More £ perhaps but are we better placed for next season? Interesting thing for me is that Norwich and Coventry signed Sainz and Rudoni for very little. ( Rudoni from Huddersfield). Just goes to show there are some good players out there if you get your scouting right.
  24. I suspect they'll be raising their sights a bit higher than BBD
  25. Think you may have reasoned it for yourself.
