  1. I saw he was playing v Faroe Islands. Even he should excel against that opposition. No sign of Champions League Hojberg in the team or on the bench. Don't know if he was completely omitted from their squad, perhaps he's injured having sprained a tattoo against Man Utd.
  2. which would result in a postponement presumably.
  3. Article also contains :
  4. Was going to suggest Mick Mills but read he only had 42. That being the case, I'd say Alan Ball on signing for us a second time whilst KK was with us.
  5. A good read. Thanks for posting and good luck for your season too. Europa League would be good but possibly a bit too much of a leap for us this season. But a match in Brittany if we were drawn against your team would be good, once things return to normal.
  6. Please no, not that embarrassing chant. Conveniently overlooks the fact he pissed off 14 years ago.
  7. I thought it was two players maximum, but only one from a single club. But could be wrong of course.
  8. Shame if true (depending on fee of course).
  9. Interested to see that Grujic not even on Liverpool's bench tonight after what was described as a good performance the other night. He must be some way down the pecking order so maybe some mileage in him going out on loan. Whether to us or not is another matter. Unless Klopp looks to rethink after the firsts half at Villa Park.
  10. I was fearing Leicester or Everton would nip in to sign him.
  11. Agree. Shame we can't bring back Jim Steel, John McGrath and Jimmy Gabriel in their prime whilst we're at it although not sure they'd cope with the lifestyle and diet changes required now.
  12. I think Brian O' Neill was a lot more mobile around the pitch though. Agreed, but can you imagine the horror in the media if we still had him tearing around the pitch, socks round ankles with no shin pads, making his trademark tackles on the tarts playing for the Big 6 ? In O'Neill's day there wasn't a major problem as the big clubs accepted it was part of the game and had players who could dish it out in equal measure. (Although Shankly did take exception in 1970).
  13. Good result, shame we couldn't have put a few more goals in to get the GD back into a positive. Excellent timing as the league position looks a lot healthier in trying to persuade any of RCL/Grujic/Rashica to sign. (If only)
  14. Think that should be ... was occasionally a sublimely skilful player to watch. If he could repeat that sublime skill on a regular basis he'd have been first name on the teamsheet and we'd be moaning about him signing for Liverpool, Utd or whoever.
  15. Hope he's not expecting to be introduced to the fans before the match...
  16. or Danso MKII, Danso MKIII, and George Weah's grandson.
  17. Newcastle are welcome to that one. From the article you've posted I'd rather stick with Gao.
  18. Send us all a PM.
  19. Don't forget the wall somewhere east of Southampton...
  20. Quite damning really. Looks as if Les has left his DNA and the Art of Dithering marked all over the club.
  21. Looks like a young slimline Paul Gascoigne c 1989/90 version. Hope it doesn't end in tears if he does join us.
  22. Other option being ? Trouble with this approach is eventually option A goes elsewhere and we end up with neither. It really is a shit or bust approach.
  23. McCarthy is easily the best option avaialble to us out of the three.
  24. Three points are worth more than a good performance and I'll happily take them. The performance though does not inspire too much hope for the weeks ahead without Ralph being able to bring in reinforcements. But if we are able to grind out a few decent results it may lift team confidence again.
  25. Thinks he's in a shop window perhaps....
