I think there was some truth in the Bierhoff rumours as I recall Rupert Lowe acknowledging that we had held discussion with his representatives at one point but due to age and wages we didn't pursue it.

I expect a fair few of the more skilled population will end up in Australia, and the US. Australia in particular will be selective in allowing entry, the rest will probably end up here, irrespective of what, if anything they bring. So that's homes and jobs for the best part of up to 3m that Boris and Co have to magic up at a time of crisis.

Life's a bugger when you're at the wrong end of the table. Just thankful it's West Ham and not us.
-
Wonder if AFCB will call for the cavalry and ditch Eddie. What's that blokes name in Sandbanks who specialises in rescue job ? Probably a bit late for him, and a £60m rescue package without a transfer window to save them in.
-
Leicester slipping on their proverbial arses. Not like a team of Brendan's to throw it away when glory is within their grasp. Apart from at Celtic where they were unchallenged during the domestic season.
-
Steklenburg also had a good season under Koeman at Everton after he left Saints. Another GK that appeared to underperform with us.
-
He does look a £35m player on there though.
-
Not sure I recognise Hojberg from this: Doesn't tally with some of descriptions on here or some of the performances I've witnessed from him. Selective editing, or perhaps he's misjudged. Probably somewhere in between.
-
Can't blame him for accepting it, the anger should be reserved for the stupid bald twat who offered it to him. Step forward, Les Bunsen. Not sure you can get away with booing him you're bound to upset someone by doing so.

Not sure if those concepts were intended as a home, away and possibly third kit, but if so then their "imagination" wasn't great as all feature red. I'm with you on either red and white stripes (front and back) or keegan era. I like the red sash on white but would reserve that for anniversaries or specials. Aside from the red sash on white I'm not a fan of the design in other colours (looks too much like a Thunderbirds costume - showing my age). Away kit - would like a return to amber and black, and don't mind the sky/navy (esp the 'keegan' design). Yellow and blue has been done to death by us and every other club since the 1970's.
-
Ajer would be better although he's likely to have better options, and possibly chance to join Brendan at Leicester.
-
Hope Bournemouth pull clear but given their form, and fixtures coming up can't see where the points will come from, but a few years ago we all thought Leicester had "gone". Of the others, hoping Villa and West Ham join Norwich (already booked for it). But expect it to be Norwich, Villa & Bournemouth. Coming up hope would like - WBA (decent away fixture), Brentford & Fulham, but expect it to be Leeds, WBA & no idea on the third.

After one decent game ... against Watford ? Depends how much the cash is though, and what they're valuing KWP at. Think we could aim for, and bring in better.
-
Second half I expect Watford will take to hoofing it into the box more,or switch Sarr to take KWP on. Either way, you wonder if we can go a full 90 minutes without an individual error no matter how crap the opposition are.
-
Familiar story though, first half dominance with a slender lead. I think the last two trips to Viacarage Road have ended conceding last minute or late goals, includng Dacoure punching it in.
-
Issues I recall were his injury record, and terms of the signing with an obligation to buy, even if he were crocked at the end of the season or underperformed.
-
Par for the course really, I think most we are involved in are likely tyo take on the feel of a pre or post-season friendly.

Romeu heading straight to their bloke...

True, but both VD and Wanyama were recognised regulars at Parkhead even if there remained a question over whether they could 'step up' into our league. Same can't be said of Ntacham.
-
I read one article - posted on the site before the changeover so it may be on here or not - where Celtic fans were highly critical of him giving a half hearted performance in an important CL match. Although VD, and Wanyama, even Forster came here with good reputations, there isn't a lot to get excited about in this signing if it happens. Went to Man City at an younf age but has been farmed out by them ever since. Of course it's difficult to force your way into things there as a younf player, and some leave to make it elsewhere, Trippier for example, but he then had a decent record at Burnley. Ntcham looks bang average from his record to date.

Relegated Teams - Players who would you buy from their Squads?
Badger replied to le_tiss's topic in The Saints
Buendia for me is the stand option that might be within our price range, the Norwich youngsters will be out of that and destined for 'Big 6' clubs. Billing is an interesting one, looked to have big potential at Huddersfield in their promotion year but hasn't shown anything since. Wouldn't look at the Brighton squad as I can't see them being relegated. -
Puncheon to a limited degree, although before our promotion.

So from this link: Really ? Anyone know where this HQ is, or just a storage cupboard at St Mary's ? Not one to my knowledge near Bristol, or Gloucestershire. Any other exiles around the country heard of any ? Wonder if anyone has told the good people of Dortmund, Frankfurt or Valencia about this. Seems as suspect as the Max Clifford Training Schools, but at least we knew they actually existed.
