  1. Isn’t it often trotted out on here that he was statistically the worst in the division two years ago ? Perhaps a change of tactics, better CBs (although that’s an unknown at the moment) will benefit him, but it doesn’t fill me with confidence on past performance.
  2. Not so sure on that one. They finished the season well last time, and have added a couple of useful additions at this level. They’ll feel quite optimistic for the season. Whether our squad proves better, we’ll have to see.
  3. Obvious to most fans, but going on our track record of numpties in charge of recruitment recently it probably is well down their list.
  4. If we sell Dibling (and/or Fernandes) I expect the asking prices for Rudoni, Goodrham (Oxford) and anyone else in this division will be bumped by a few million.* Not sure Rudoni would see us as a better option than Coventry to be honest. Although £ will be a factor. *Subject to any release clauses of course
  5. Classic case of “falling upwards”
  6. With the limited CF options we’ve got I was hoping Stewart might stay put. (meaning at the club if fit and available, rather than in the treatment room).
  7. Our new CF unveiled…
  8. From the Rangers Forum: Does he learn or is he too stubborn??? And amused me: “Essex wide boy” … that one might upset the hipster Lego. Don’t think he’d like to be compared to White Van Man of Essex. Perhaps he’ll explain his ideas on being vegan and supporting Eddie Izzard as a Labour candidate in Glasgow for the locals at some point. That should go down well.
  9. Interesting reading, hadn’t taken them long to realise Legohead’s limits has it ? As you say, we can sympathise with them. But far rather he’s their problem rather than ours.
  10. Sorry, misunderstood your post. Thought you meant if he had a good season for Newcastle.
  11. Won’t he still have a release clause ? Of course we don’t know the specifics of it if he does. May only operate if we’re relegated.
  12. Possibly, thought they also had Carvalho to take the piss (especially having turned us down twice).
  13. Should have been nominated at the BAFTAs
  14. That’s not a new contract he’s signing. It’s a book of condolences for Franz Ferdinand after news reached Sheffield.
  15. Can’t remember him being that special in the Championship a couple of year.s ago, Jack Clarke on the other hand seemed ‘dogs bollocks’ for Sunderland for much of the season.
  16. Long term concussion after being head butted at Newcastle last season.
  17. I’ve got high hopes of Charles this season. A year older, or a year away from the strangulation of Legohead’s tactics, or a year under Rohl’s influence, whatever , he’ll be a more mature and stronger version of the 2023 player we signed. Ideally I’d like to see him with a bit of a ballbreaker MF alongside him as a DM.
  18. They should just be thankful they haven’t got Bazunu in goal then.
  19. The classic world of McLego
  20. Bollocks to the cigars, nothing less than scantily clad nuns if we get off to a good start.
  21. Hopefully fucking off
  22. Who are Lawrence and Akachuckwu ?
  23. They’d both lose.
  24. Why do they come out with such bollocks ?
  25. Totally agree about the recruitment side of things, although not sure how culpable Ralph is as these things seem to be by Recruitment Dept rather than manager. We’ll have to agree to disagree about the Semmens/Gao regime then. I think they set the tone for what was to come, although worse with SR once in the driving seat. The Semmens comment of ‘ league position doesn’t matter’ stands out to me as an epitaph to his work at the club, undoing any achievement of what had gone before it.
