Thankfully the weather warnings were enough to deter us from travelling down. Shocking result and performance. Shameful on the part of so many involved in the club. Owners, players and all. (Not having a go at Juric who is probably as astounded as anyone). Saw this on BBC : This is RM’s legacy. Shame in someways he isn’t still in place to take the flak. Mentions of course to Rasmus, Kraft and co for their contribution to our free fall.

Ditto. Have to thank those running the site for their work in providing it. Others don’t come close, and this provides a good outlet and source of info, especially for us exiles.

Did wonder if it was purely coincidence that the site was out of order yesterday or not. Perhaps a good job it was, as although we all needed somewhere to vent, this place might have been incandescent yesterday afternoon. I was confronted with this on trying to log in: Didn’t know if this was displayed for SR, and players, or if the Admins like the team had just said “nah, fuck it… ‘ and given up.

Do Sports Republic still do that open talk forum?
Badger replied to The very right reverend's topic in The Saints
I don't think Juric will be the target of fan's anger, most are grateful he was prepared to take the role when others wouldn't. -
Fair point that Kraft and Parsons seem to be going under the radar and escaping the wrath of supporters. Given Krafts comments in an interview about Rasmus being ‘Mr Football’ though it’s not surprising that most link all football decisions as having Rasmus’ dabs on them.

I’m sure ‘reputation management’ is the sort of thing Rasmus would be knowledgeable about and provide an interesting talk on. Just remember how they managed to ‘sideline’ Jones for a fans forum when it became obvious his media skills might only inflame matters with a live audience. I don’t expect the club to make anyone senior available for questions any time soon. Shame as there are many things they should be grilled on. -
Yeh,, the beards a giveaway.

Ipswich giving it a go, and if/when they go down at least they’ll look back on some memorable matches. Wonder which defeat we’ll get all sentimental over.
-
Really no point in looking at Delap and thinking what might have been had we signed him. Ipswich have an attacking intent, and a manager who seems to motivate players to fulfil potential, possibly playing above themselves. Had Delap joined us he’d have looked like a labouring carthorse up front with our Legoball style, and we’d be bemoaning another £20m on a City kid going down the pan.
-
We'll probably take a punt on some Brazilian, who needs six months to settle, then at the close of the summer window come September when he still hasn't scored, wonder why we bothered.

Wonder how long Amorim will last.

You’re probably right, but you can only hope that this Victoryia , and Dirk Gerken, can spot a bullshitter and a chancer like Rasmus. They do not have to be football experts to spot a bullshitter at work, especially one with his track record. An injection of common sense wouldn’t go amiss.
-
Exactly, and I posted something similar to your earlier comment yesterday about Dragan and the chancers around him. How can he not see this ? If he had a Mr Internet, or a Mr Telecommunications , in his main business on a par with ‘Mr Football’ within SR, then I suspect the fucker would have been out the door long ago without his or her feet touching the ground.

You start it off, we’ll soon pick it up.

Legoland derby ? Thought he'd fucked off.

Good post, and good points raised, but I'd be pleasantly surprised if it turned toxic with our fan base. The supporters have a target to blame in Rasmus, but what ?? He doesn't walk the touchline as Branfoot used to, so not sure where the focal point of the vitriol is likely to stem from. How many games did it take for things to turn on RM ? Yes, people are currently numb to it, and resigned to our relegation. But I recall the feeling of indifference at The Dell after a loss at home to QPR in December (might have been the second home defeat in a week). Not much booing even at the end of the game, just a unified groan and the sounds of seats being left. Within a couple of weeks though it turned and the atmosphere was quite different especially v Port Vale in the Cup, so things can change. Questionable if the modern fan has the appetite though.

Read somewhere, might have been on here so may not be correct, that Dragan knows Souness personally, you'd have thought had that been the case he'd have canvassed an opinion. When Markus bought us, he and Cortese initailly came armed with Andy Oldknow , who'd had some experience with Saints and the football world. They then ditched him but Cortese did at least have the sense to find Les Read, who despite his later shortcomings knew his way round the game. Staggering that Dragan now relies on Rasmus.
-
Wonder if the pre-Christmas revelations of Dragan's colleagues from SR taking shares (Viktorya Boklag, and of course the unforgettable name of Dirk Gerken) will mean any change on the board and if they'll offer some common sense or new approach. No idea what they'll bring, as suggested earlier Dirk might just be a stage name', and Victoriya could be Kat's new shopping pal, now Nellie's off the scene. But even then they'd do well to be worse than Ted Talk, 'Dyson', and Bitcoin.
-
If you were Dragan you'd be on the phone to someone like Dan Ashworth , and making sure Mr Football stays in Turkey and out of the way. If Ashworth is demanding too much, as he might be after his last couple of posts, then there must be someone with an ounce of football experience and knowledge who would improve things. Paul Tisdale for example who is widely recognised as being switched on (now at Celtic though).
-
Misread your last sentence as 'Too many cocks at the moment, and none with the football knowledge needed', which is equally appropriate.
-
All fair points, but retaining RM for as long as we did was just suicidal. Agree though, change at the top is required.
-
Crook may be a cretin, but no arguing with him there is there?. Credit to him for stating the obvious perhaps, but at least he has said it publicly. Over to Big Adam in Solent studio.
-
I think you're giving our modern match day fanbase too much credit here to be honest. Many of the 'nods' and mongs would only attend a car park protest (if you're thinking back to the Branfoot days) to take an 'I was there' selfie, and as a backdrop to their 'vlogs' or whatever they call them.
-
It could have been the catalyst for a reset, had we appointed a manager who could have grown into the role. Instead of which we continued with a bloke who by EPL standards would be better off employed as a fucking hairdresser.
-
That’s incredibly damning of the set up. When it’s listed out like that it’s even worse than you think.
