  1. Unless there are a couple of upsets (Preston, or Wimbledon - twice - winning) I don't see it opening up as much as coming face to face with one of the big guns. But, one of them at home, and who knows.
  2. High praise indeed. Tremendous prospect if that comes off.

Perhaps 2024/25 is when scudetto becomes scuffeto for Che to end top scorer.
  5. Spanish, with beard, first name Carlos, he’s bound to feature quite high on the hipster spectrum. No idea if he “wears skinny jeans and vapes like a cunt” though. But I’m sure Rasmus will have that covered in his checklist.
  6. I've had this discussion with my sons and have probably bored them with excaliming how fucking ridiculous it is that we don't leave one or two up towards the halfway line when defending a corner, then followed by how in the old days Channon would be by the centre circle,(hands on hips with shirt hanging out), always keeping two opposition players with him.
  7. Shame to hear this. As others said the Sports Echo was an essential part of your football routine in a bygone era, and standing outside newsagents waiting for it 6.30 onwards as I recall, was part of the Saturday ritual very often. One recollection was how due to printing times, the match report was heavily weighted to the first half (perhaps two thirds on the report ) then the second half would be condensed into a couple of paragraphs no matter what happened and who won ( final paragraph : Saints then scored five goals in the last ten minutes to win 5-4 after multiple sendings off in the 80th minute for opponent . Okay, that's an exaggeration but an indication of how little detail of the later stages was provided).
  8. They eventually lost 4-3 conceding in 93rd minute. Familiar ?
  9. But they were a significant part of that shit team. Why are they likely to become ‘less shit’ on moving to us ? One of them I might accept as a punt, but both ??? That’s what we need, some Adkins positivity. Always a unifying force (St Lard aside of course).
  10. No, but still seems steep to suggest or expect Dragan dig deep again into his reserves ( almost as if he hasn’t spent enough) to try baling us out. There has to come a point when he questions the wisdom of it all. Especially if it just funding Rasmus’ vanity project.

Straight out of the Sangarre (?) to next option, Diallo, what a quantum leap that was. Two players bearing no resemblance to each other in height or style. Or worse still Maddison to Elyonoussi
  12. Fair comment, to a point, although I suspect we managed to get over that hurdle for Ramsdale. Even on a budget, I feel we could have done better.

Everyone knows this bar RM and our scouts it seems
  14. Bit unfair and misguided to suggest the owners have been tight. They’ve opened up the piggy bank - within reason - the fault lies in how we’ve spent it. Archer, BBD, and Wood !!! Can’t believe we couldn’t have found a CF up to the standard needed for their combined fee.
  15. This was Ralph's undoing, think it will be the same for RM.
  16. Incredible how he's polarised opinion. Should be called Russell Marmite.

    Therein lies the problem.
  18. Realise Ramsdale and Dibling are excluded from that but you need another cunt in your line up to make the team sheet Subs: Cunt, x 9 Manager : Bearded Cunt
  19. Wondered the same. If not punishment then possibly a concern his focus isn’t right at the minute
  20. Who’s the penalty taker today ?
  21. Looks a bit lightweight and weak in midfield, and unless Dibling fulfills his promise (tall order for an 18 year old after only three games)not a great deal of threat upfront.
  22. Apart from tackling and ballwinning of course

    Tyler Dibling

Perhaps Wellington is the intended back up if he doesn’t end up at Goztepe. Not that Wellington can be described as a ‘shoe in’ , but will probably be in contention.
  24. This is where we have to agree to disagree Gio. Unfortunately I don’t share your unrelenting enthusiasm or confidence in RM to turn things round. Hope he can for all our sakes as I dread where or who they’ll turn to next, and it could very well end up in 2023/4 free fall with three managers in a season. Mention of Eustace, less experienced than RM even !
  25. Relax. I’m reliably informed Nathan Jones put the table football on a bonfire at Staplewood.
