  1. Puts the ball back in Saints court, and makes it 'public', if it wasn't already. Timing is remarakble, coming a few hours after Klopp is reported as saying he may not be in the market for CB anyway.
  2. Virgil Van Gina about sums him up.
  3. vigil for Virgil.
  4. So, will it be announced before Demelza's tits are revealed on Poldark or not ?
  5. Wouldn't be surprised if they went for Martins Indi if he hasn't signed for Stoke permanently
  6. Should be twinned with Skatesmouth then
  7. Watching that raises two questions: at what point is the ref notified of an incident/decision? I thought it was meant to be immediately but that looks like only when the ball next goes out of play. what's all that wavy hands b0ll0cks (0.57 & 1.20) about ? Seems to be quite popular in Europe, remember Bremen fans doing it at St Marys a few years ago.
  8. A few of comments seen on their forum: & Someone has picked up on the Les - strategy: Although not everyone is coping with this graciously: last post incidentally from Glasgowstokie !
  9. A name from the past in this article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40843317 Alexander Buttner
  10. Interesting comments. Or another possibility is that we'll hold onto VVD until late in the window to limit the time Cedric and Bertrand have to make their exits. But if they're going to be angling for a move at some stage it suggests Summer 2018 is likely to be on a par with 2014, also after a World Cup, with several looking to exit at the same time. The Eric Black bit is the polarised opposite of what was supposed to be 'coming out of the club' last year though.
  11. If we do sign him, can we have a poll on here to create a shortlist of players for him to punch in the nuts ?
  12. Might improve the half time entertainment that's for sure.
  13. I'm sure VVD going the other way might sweeten them though, IF they are interested in him that is.
  14. We didn't even appear to be in the race though, no mention of us at all. Les & Jock were still mulling over Puel at the time.
  15. Wonder if he'll ever watch a re-run of Rodriguez penalty incident at Villa, and his interview afterwards.
  16. Any inside info you can share re the new regime, and the VVD situation?
  17. An ageing Tommy Forecast then, a player whose best claim to fame was as a 'party animal'.

    Les Reed

Perception from the outside is that Red has become a ditherer, inactive in the transfer market, and a fumbler of things. The only defence I can think of is that he is hamstrung by internal matters, financial constraints or parameters laid down to him, in particular whilst the club appears to be in a state of flux pending Kat's selling. For all those calling for Reed to go, just think he might be replaced by promoting Ross Wilson, who has no particular track record at all.
  19. ...and pepper the goal with shots ... perhaps fumblefingers will be our salvation afterall...
  20. I had read something to the effect over the weekend, which is why I raised the question in case SKD had some further news. But as Klopp might be aware it is difficult tokeep a player once his heas is turned.
  21. Staggering that we are prepared to go into a season with only those options for GK - Fraser, the permanently injured Mc Carthy, and the bloke who has barely played in the last 15 years.
  22. Doesn't explain why Lazio would sell him though despite the recent story of a training ground bust up, the money talked of isn't too great unless they are strapped for cash.
