Similar to what I read (£4m to EPL). And we paid how much for Sulemana???
-
Old expression: penny wise, and pound foolish spring to mind. If true, that they consider him the preferred option - and he has given any encouragement on coming to us - then absolutely ridiculous that we opt for another candidate. Thought we’d reached a point that the £ would be less when relegated. Agree it with DR and resolve the compensation after we officially become a Championship club. Alternatively pay it, and get him in (depending on how much …). When you think how much we’ve wasted on transfer fees, and pay offs, it’s ludicrous not to work a way of getting their preferred option.

What is Lorraine Chase up to these days ? CSDAJFU ?

Saints 1-2 Arsenal - Thank F**k it’s All Over Thread

Is it too early to have a flag, or perhaps a flypast, telling him to fuck off ? -
But not to sound like a Cockney barrow boy, or wheeler-dealer...

Plus :Preferably no beard, no skinny jeans, and to save Wade the trouble, I'll also add not to look as if he 'vapes like a cunt'.
-
When you say seen of him, is this something you've seen, or just something he's told us in one of his interviews about himself ? Before getting too excited about this character based on the youtube clips it's worth remembering that both Martin and Nathan Jones have featured in these tactical Masterclass videos telling us how they set teams up.

Does all have quite a 'Germanic' feel to it. Have wait and see where this particular trail of breadcrumbs lead with the managers job.
-
Which one ? Pirece Charles (Shea's brother) is highly rated. BUT - you'd hope we'd have learnt about signing and putting young players in at the deep end too early.
-
Which one, or who, are you referring to ?
-
Perhaps it would have been better described as CV rather than track record then. By this I’m referring to his time at Bayern, Germany WC squad, and the upturn in form at Sheff Weds.
-
Each to their own, but I think Rohl has the more impressive track record.
-
Agree with most of what you say. I didn’t think he did too badly at Chelsea given the transfer embargo they had at the time. Always felt they acted hastily in getting rid, but that’s their way. Had we gone for him after our relegation then so be it, but walking out on Coventry for us doesn’t sit well with me should he do it. Bit like Hoddle fucking off from us at the first opportunity after we’d allowed him to resurrect his career ( even allowing his emotional pull to go back there).

Big risk and gamble if it is, so for that sake I’m hoping it isn’t. Certainly would seem a Rasmus inspired attempt at ‘genius’ if it is. But maybe there’s an omen here, and he’s up to the standard of our last two gingers (Bally and WGS) then who knows

Thanks will wait to see when we play Swansea away before making a booking then. Wonder if she charges a £1.50 booking fee like the ticket office.

Don’t remember any issues with West Ham at Brisbane Road itself . In 1978 though it was rumoured that Spurs would ‘turn up’ as they were competing with us for automatic promotion. The West Ham story I remember, possibly from that Orient match, is that they attacked a tube containing loads of Saints fans as it went through a known station on ‘their turf’. Recall hearing of windows being smashed and bricks, bottles and a broom handle following it in.

Does she charge then? have to bow to your knowledge.

Almost reassuring to see that being absolutely shit isn’t just a recent phenomenon. Not only the defending, but Moss in goal looked as if he could challenge Bazunu for a place on the bench, or being left behind at Staplewood on matchday.
-
Perhaps Myfannwy from Swansea might offer him some relief
-
Might be a good option( he’s perhaps a more experienced Rohl) but difficult to attract him to the Championship I’d have thought.

Of the ‘name’ managers who rely on their playing days to get management jobs I’ve always thought Lampard the most likely to make it as a manager. I don’t think his record is too bad, but I lost a lot of time for him with his touchline spat with Klopp which was pretty poor. And I wouldn’t be impressed if he just walked out on Coventry after a few months. Having said that about his record, he did oversee his Everton side losing at home to Nathan Jones! Hopefully just media bullshit.

Looks like this motivational team talk has done the trick up to this point. Pleased that he’s moved on from the time spent with us, which was abysmal for everyone involved (including him).
-
Think we know how some of our players will react to that. Mostly wilting, and heads dropping after conceding a goal, especially an early one.
-
Perhaps you’re right but I suspect we know who we want, and may even have offered the job, or come to a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ for the end of season. The problem is if we came to such an agreement a couple of months ago, or longer, things might change with another better or more lucrative offer from elsewhere. Then we’re left scurrying around for Option II. Wonder how quickly Spors will be able to get a Plan B in place.

Probably a good idea to look for a career other than being a professional footballer.
