We have to put our faith and trust in Spors in turning things round. Appears to have a good record and reputation so grounds for optimism. Just have to hope he’s been as busy and effective in lining up the new manager ( we’ll soon find out) and identifying players, as he has organising the back room staff. If he hasn’t then this is just a rearranging the deckchairs exercise.

The Genoa connection does give some concern as they signed Cornet after his time here came to an end. I wonder if anyone coming here would take responsibility for that signing, explain it, and swear a solemn oath not to do anything as stupid again. On the other hand it amuses me that Cornet might have been Spors last act of defiance and vandalism there, signing him being a little like leaving a massive turd in the top drawer of the CEO/ or Head of Recruitments desk shortly before departing.

Even if you take Hillsborough out of the equation there are still sufficient grounds capable of hosting FA Cup semifinals. Initial thoughts on options: Emirates and Spurs in London (plus West Ham perhaps), Old Trafford, Etihad, Everton as of next season, Stadium of Light (but might question the location), and Millenium Stadium.

I’ve no idea what the agreement was or how the mechanics of this work, but as he’s our player contracted to SFC don’t we continue to pay him, and Sheff Weds either pay us their contribution on agreed wages, or just pay him that element? If the latter then Saints still pay the balance.

Wagner and this prick mentioned in the last couple of days. Can only hope that this is pure media speculation. I’d have hoped Spors was considering this since he arrived. Surely to Christ the search didn’t begin after the Spurs defeat, without a shortlist already in place.

His name has featured on previous occasions and I thought he’d be a good option in the past. Doubt he’d be persuaded to join in the Championship and will have better offers.

Matter of opinions and perceptions, but I'd be surprised if an EPL team took a risk on him. If Leeds get rid of Farke, again I'd expect them to go for a name, or at least an experienced manager with a track record behind him.
