  1. This is the player that - is rumoured -would have signed for Braga last summer had he not failed a medical ? Not blaming him by the way, given his restricted opportunities here, but he may still only be here by default.
  2. I'd like NA to bring Wright "into the building" , if only as back up. At the moment we appear fine, but an injury to KD leaves our options a bit limited.Even if BB steps into the role,I wonder if how he will handle the pressure of a promotion run in and possible play offs. Although he is a bit older now,and more experienced we had the rumblings that he lost his nerve in the play offs in the CCC.Don't think we should leave ourselves open to a repeat, or having Forecast as our next option.

  4. Agree, first and foremost lets worry about our own result then look to see how others have fared. That said, anything but a Huddersfield win would be welcome.
  5. This must be the away strip then as its in yellow, and also looks like a dog's dinner :
  6. Some good creative work by the The9, so well done to you, sir. However I can't help thinking the kits look too mouch like previous Stoke or Sunderland creations with the black or white collar. The long England collar just looks bloody ridiculous. Agreed. Still think Gecko's reworking of the classic Keegan era kit is the proverbial 'dogs b0ll0cks' and unlikely to be bettered.Especially the away yellow/black strip.

  8. Another example of a ginger seeking publicity, this sort of thing really gets my goat.
  9. I suspect we will move away from a black away shirt next season.
  10. Much of the kit debate was covered here a couple of weeks ago: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?28897-Time-for-a-quot-new-kit-quot-thread No better suggestion than this by Gecko:

  13. come one I want a second goal
  14. Just tuned in, how are we playing?

  17. Now that is one from the history books. The first name that springs to mind as a ref matching your description is Rudi Glockner.
  18. 3-2 v ManU 1981 (KK's overhead 'goal' etc). 2-3 v Liverpool 1982 .Although we lost it was an excellent game from two footballing teams incl. Channon's wonder team goal 2-0 v Liverpool 1984 Wallace's overhead 4-1 v Liverpool 1989 Also a 1970 match 2-0 win vMan City, two goals from Big Ron that secured us from relegation and shat on their title aspirations.

  20. Sorry but I see him as a bit of a show pony. Undoubtedly has the skill and ability to produce something extraordinary from time to time, but little end product and too infrequent. On hearing his inclusion yesterday I had hoped I'd see something that would change my view of him, but the lasting memory was him falling over in the first half with no one near him. Probably as good a summary as you'll get. As for a player targetted, we had some moron behind us vPlymouth who clearly disliked Harding with a passion.
  21. Two of my earliest recollections for receiving unmitigated hate from the Dell were Mike Summerbee and Rodney Marsh. Marsh was regarded as a bit of a tart, but I think the Summerbee issue predated my time following Saints, pre 1969.
  22. Does Chaplow offer less to our MF than Hammond ? Personally I doubt it, and there were numerous times today when Hammond seemed to mistime a pass or tackle thin air.But either would be in the team ahead of Guly.
  23. Is Hammond near a suspension having been booked today ?
