  1. I read somewhere that in their early stages some of the dissenting Man U fans spoke to SISA at the time about how they had started the fans protest groups down here. This was before SISA became a bandwagon for a couple of egotists, and had a large broad support.
  2. I like the sash and supported the idea of it for this season. Stripes are more 'Saintly' though, so we should return to conventional striped shirt next season. The only acceptable alternative would be a KK style shirt from the early 80's.
  3. Which has always been the same since he has been in the building. He has an honest hard working group of players
  4. Some good photos of our away kits of yesteryear as well: Remember the radical blue flame effect ? Also available in yellow:
  5. According to his chairman Eddie Howe just said " no fangs."
  6. He's making sure the squad are brushing up for a promotion push.
  7. Is Adkins trying to sign Czech bloke, Jan Molar for us ?
  8. Have to agree that this is excellent news. A good player with tremendous attitude and workrate first time round. He has never really lived up to the expectations of him - the curse of Bryan Robson perhaps - but a good player for us at L1 and hopefully above. Chaplow probably also sees this as the ideal place to relaunch his career,
  9. And how is it going to improve the catering ?
  10. He is ****ed off with this thread and won't be doing any more interviews. Crosby is 'filling' in.
  11. If the OP was expecting this to become a serious issue then he was clearly going to be up a gum tree...
  12. A manager, whose teeth might not really be his own. The shame of it. Adkins out. And Cotese out too, for not checking his dental record before appointing him.
  13. or a slimline Armstrong
  14. apparetly possesion is 33% saints and 67% D&R on saints player and BBC??? wtf
  15. Chambo hat-trick you heard it here first
  16. Good shout, possibly our most underestimated player we've had. But for value I agree with Dennis and Golac . From the 1970's - David Peach c£60,000 and Alan Ball 1960's - John McGrath, Jimmy Gabriel and above all Big Ron. Could of course add Terry Paine from the 1950's if we accept he was signed from Winchester rather than a 'youth product' from Winchester.
  17. Think that expression is pure Bristol.
  18. Stately
  19. I do recall at one point whilst we were going through the admin process and heading towards L1 he did talk openly about having played for us and his concern for our future. Personally I thought his reference to his time here was more to do with "look at me" and trying to add weight to his opinion than any real concern for Saints. His departure was a rather hasty one.At the time I heard that he felt he was worth more than the club did in wages.Perhaps he proved us wrong. As a pundit,he's a totally wooden f^cker, and another reason to give ITV a wide berth whenever possible.
  20. I thought it was widely suggested at the time that we simply could not afford to sack him.
  21. Was once told The Cowherds on The Avenue was haunted, possibly due to a murder there of a landlady in the 19th Century.
  22. silage
  23. ....they've got piles ?
  24. Excellent result. It is always good to win away and especiallt from being a goal down at HT. Double delight though, beating InceyWincey on his first match at home.Still better Notts County realise early on what a charlatan the "guv'nor" really is.
