As for Pilkington I agreethat Saints aside he was probably the player with most potential in L1 but I doubt he we could sign him for some time owing to his injury as we would be unlikely to get insurance clearance on any player carrying his injury.

I think the plan is that in two years we will be in the Prem so writing off a player,if necessary, at £2m cost to get there would be considered a reasonable investment.
