  1. Adkins says Millwall approached saints, Adkins sat down with Punch and agreed for him to go out on loan. Apparently, Punch didn't ask for a move. He also speaks highly of Lee Holmes and it sounds he is ahead of Puncheon in the 'hierachy' of wingers. Oxo seems to be our starting winger. Source: Adkins on Saints player.
  2. No tie and top botton undone by a mile.
  3. First time I've ever heard of a players drop in form due to not going out on the p!ss too often.
  4. Perhaps he is a cousin of a (former) World Player of the Year.
  5. What did he say about Lambert? Does this mean his Cortese Court Case crap is also true???
  6. If Puncheon has been causing trouble with his attitude towards Adkins, then he is not needed at the club. We need players who play for the shirt. I doubt Puncheon ever did- and thus he is not needed. No point having him if he doesn't care about us.
  7. Dickson seemed promising against Plymouth, he just hasn't had a chance in the team to prove himself.
  8. My attitude towards him has just gone down dramatically. Anyone disrespecting Markus has no right to be a part in our football club. Thanks for informing me Hypochondriac, I was unaware of this until now.
  9. Could someone please explain this??? First I've heard.

  11. Just seen part of the first episode and Stacey Solomon being parachuted in. Have not seen a nose like that descend out of the sky since Concorde was taken out of use.
  12. Remember that goal.City were going for the title,we needed to win to make sure we stayed up. c1971. As a youngster it was incredible how The Dell shook with the celebrations for the remaining ten minutes or so.I thought it was 2-0 but ...
  13. Reminded me, Ball v Forest at Wembley in 1979. He was involved in setting up David Peach for a good first goal.
  14. But realistically who were we more likely to end up with MON,or the likes of Brown,or Hart ? Lets not forget MON was not universally popular at Villa in the dressing room if media and forums are to be believed.
  15. Gets my vote. Worthy mentions : Golac v West Brom Paul Gilchrist V West Brom FA Cup replay 1976...back to goal, flicked it up and volleyed it...a goal MLT would have been proud of. Keegan's overhead vMan Utd (but disallowed).
  16. Mick Channon - the windmill, probably about 180 times.
  17. Some people clearly have not got over the disappointment that we failed to appoint Phil Brown or Paul Hart.

  19. He has done a good job so far. We have lost only two games under him (excluding MK Dons) and have been winning despite not playing that well. He is a clever man who knows what he is talking about. It is remarkable how attitudes towards him have changed, after one defeat. We are four points of second for god sake, we have come up from the bottom four to a promotion battle. Win against Posh and the benders and we are back on track. There are 90 points left to play for- we need only four to make up on second place.

  21. Don't necessarily disagree with your critiscisms of the Adkins interview but he is a damn sight more fluent than Chris Nicholl who struggled to put any kind of coherent sentence together.
  22. As an aside, I suspect Johnson will be sacked or will walk away after their latest humiliation at home so I expect Posh to be in disarray..or "new manager syndrome" again.
  23. I'd go with you on those selections. The other dilemnas are midfield, where I rate Schneiderlin, but ahead of whom ? Chamberlain at 17 cannot be relied upon to produce the goods week in week out but we know Puncheon to be persistantly below par. Up front, the big puzzle is Lambert and how to reignite his season.
  24. We should have flown Gazza out there with a fishing rod and a bit of chicken. He'd have sorted it yearsa ago.
