Kevin Richardson and Paul Moody worth a mention.

  4. Noted the headline : "Germany enjoy warm-up romp". If you saw the same headline about England you would expect it to involve something more sordid.

  6. You raised the matter of "willful neglect",I doubt that it was. In terms of neglect,I don't think your own circumstances are comparable. This woman took her child out into an area and conditions that were a danger to it without contemplating the seriousness of the dangers it was exposed to, or taking reasonably sensible measures to protect the child. Your own issue was at home where you might have reasonably expected there to be no immediate danger of harm or injury occuring whilst you were (presumably) temporarily away from the room.
  7. Brazillians all the way...
  8. Willful neglect should not come in to it.It was neglect of her child, end of matter. Needs help? She has probably had untold help available to her that our parents and grandparents generation could not have wished for.
  9. Children are however a 'cash crop' for many of the great unwashed.Houses are provided and benefits substantially increased. Against this what purpose is there in restraint,or actually working for a living?
  10. In a very solemn and eerie way,one other heart chilling moment was the minutes silence at The Dell for the victims of the Bradford fire. I think it was the Tuesday afterwards, the ref stopped the game on 11minutes as that was when the fire broke out,and it was observed impeccably by all supporters without any daft bastards idea of "humour" breaking out. Can't recall who we were playing, recollection of Liverpool but don't think that is correct.
  11. Providing Warnock steers clear of Fonte, that is my main concern. As for Arfield he would have been here by now-probably in January- if he'd rated high enough on the Pardometer.
  12. Doing a good job in a workmanlike manner was not enough. I think Ormerod suffered from an image crisis,if he had a silly haircut or multiple diamond earrings he would have gained a greater status. Better still get sent off for the occasional reckless challenge, but always be seen clapping the crowd long after others have left the pitch. It is rather like David Armstrong who Lawrie suggested might have been noticed and played for England years before he made it,if he had an earring.
  13. His workrate may indeed be on a par with Ormerod's but the simple fact is that Ormerod was playing at a level two divisions higher than where we are now.
  14. Ormerod had the better and more original song as well.
  15. If selecting now,at their current ages then Barnard is the better option at 25. If making a comparison from them at their prime - different teams, different era so always a spurious measure - then it should be borne in mind that Ormerod was a freescoring striker at our present level which earnt him a move to the Prem. Ormerod did well for us at that level, and made a significant contribution to 2002/3 season etc. Ormerod would get my vote for which one whilst at their peak, but Barnard may of course go on to change that view next season.
  16. True, and that is undeniable but for him to go above KK and MC in a table is absurd given their respective talents.
  17. Can you buy some cat sh!t whilst there in order to throw it into a neighbours garden as well? That would make the 'cat ownership' experience really aythentic.

  19. Absolute travesty.
  20. Most of what I've read on there seems to be a belief/hope that he is signing for them. And yes they are a bit bitter and twisted about us,presumably due to Calderon and their obvious inferiority complex.
  21. Amazing how we see the same game differently. What about him impressed you Gemmel ? Not saying you are wrong, but just interested.
  22. I thought he was pretty mediocre to be honest.
  23. pre kick-off I'd suggest.
  24. Jesus, they might as well re-run the woodentops.McCarthy has the most boring monotone voice going, and the other three dullards are not much better.
  25. The ovation that greeted Big Ron when he returned to The Dell and ran to the centre circle even though he was captaining Pompey at the time. The Pompey players held back and he ran out on his own to a really heartfelt welcome. Similarly,Terry Paine's return with Hereford United.
