The publicity from the hospital visit would have generated some goodwill locally and Saints have been denied the free publicity.The Echo need interest in the Saints to keep going to sell their paper. Unfortunately trust has gone on both sides and it does seem a bit of a 'dummy spit' by the club. Despite that,there were great times that season especially with Dennis,Agboola,Williams, Armstron,Moran and eventually Worthington. Worthington was regarded when he first arrived as an over the hill name,and many fans were disgruntled by Lawrie signing him for £20,000 when Pompey had shelled out 'bigger' money for Mark Hately.Worthington eventually won everyone round,especially in the second half of the season,with some classy displays.
