  1. I think the Pinnacle team - whoever they might be - need to get their feet under the boardroom table first, and who is to say if MLT will be part of the new order once its in place ? Hope your suggestion is correct, but it'll be a few weeks yet before decisionmakers are in place.
  2. In 2009 he is 85th in the list with £520m. http://business.timesonline.co.uk/tol/business/specials/rich_list/rich_list_search/?l=27
  3. Not sure I share your hope about Zahavi being involved. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pini_Zahavi Seems to rank alongside 'Arry and Venables .
  4. Good news. At what stage, will the Pinnacle names be known ?
  5. Disappointing news as the other club sites are all of the same mediocrity.Thought the Saints site was at least an 'official' site even if it could be misused to put the party line on occasion. I assume this has been driven by cost implication somewhere along the line.
  6. "Client", in singular. So is it an individual client he is representing or a consortium (which you may have described as "clients".)? Not wishing to be pedantic but not sure if this is a change in emphasis of the Pinnacle bid.
  7. Isn't that the Canadian consortium though ?
  8. Mods, please place a life ban on saint_stevo for one of the most objectionable posts ever.
  9. So had you heard any snippets alluding to this,or is this thread the first notice you have had on it? Reason I ask is that in the past you have seemed to have had some inside info.
  10. Any familiar earlobes ?
  11. Brian Stock was a local lad. Also Steve Guppy, who went on to Wycombe,Leicester and Celtic.
  12. Which would not fit in with his suggested valuation of £14m then.Perhaps he should revalue it accordingly.
  13. The club ( or SLH,whichever guise we are under) has assets which are worth a fair bit as land for development or whatever. It is not just about a football club and a squad of players.
  14. The other hip perhaps.
  15. Either I have missed something, or this point is flaw in the logic of many people on here. As I understand it Aviva and Barclays are not under obligation, or have to accept any bid at all. If the club is worth more at 'the breakers yard' by selling off individual portions of it ( ie Jacksons Farm, Staplewood, the SMS site ) than a "bid of the last resort" as someone termed it to buy it all then we are no more. I too have wondered about the possibility of the pooling of resources etc but suspect Salz, Davies et al are used to conducting business in higher echelons, without the input of "business strategists" who may want to call the shots.
  16. It was merely an analogy. It used a the disater caused by a "military strategist" to make a point about a - self proclaimed - "business strategist".
  17. Canadian connection, and mystery overseas bidders revealed perhaps ?
  18. So in your eyes we are well and truly buggered then,as no one else of any credibility is left. That does indeed make depressing reading.
  19. Whatever misgivings you have about the bloke I think the level of accusations you are throwing at him here are grossly unjust.
  20. I think this is Fry's wake up call to others on the periphery who are still contemplating a bid or not. I assume Pinnacle are in the process of licking wounds and possibly regrouping.Salz & co still in preparation pending developments and progress of others perhaps. The (more) unknown though is the rumoured overseas bidder.Come on Mr Allen, don't be shy, you know you really want to !
  21. Including in America, and the middle east. Wasn't it one of these such invisible friends that set in motion a mass hysteria two years ago ? Having said that I'd accept a MJ cosortium lead club over no club at all if push comes to shove.
  22. I think this was probably answered in Lynam's interview earlier in the week. It appears that despite their initial discussions they were unable to give the firm assurances that Fry was looking for.Possibly due to one or two members of the consortium getting "cold feet".
  23. lol ... made I laugh !
  24. Okay so you have reservations over the bloke.Perhaps he could have been more dynamic in his involvement, but wasn't. I don't agree that he was "complicit in allowing Lowe back in" however. The fact was Lowe, along with Wilde and their supporters as major shareholders were able to force that issue.
  25. too soon for my fragile nerves.
