  1. So is there any conection between the two sentences in bold,or are they completely independent of the other ?
  2. Kevin Phillips ? Would certainly score goals but it won't happen for two reasons;we can't afford his wages and he probably remembers the vitriolic abuse dished out to him by Saints fans ever since he left.
  3. Good shout...in the early 1990's.
  4. I think I might have sat the same paper as you.I still recall the question "Discuss the contribution of Chaucer or Eliott to the rise and fall of Southampton F.C". Later learnt that Chaucer was a Wolves fan. http://www.wolves.co.uk/page/News/0,,10307~1300876,00.html

    Dave Jones

Agree. If anything though I think he would have been sacked sooner, but for the pending court case which left the club in an 'awkward' position on how to treat him at the time. RL was right to move Jones out,but I still think he did it in a clumsy and embarrassing way with all this 'compassionate leave' crap.
  6. Another thing I can never forgive Hitler for,if it wasn't for his bloody silly antics the Skates would not have held on to the FA Cup for so long. This is often glibly overlooked by the national media when listing Hitler's faults.
  7. I'd be a bit cautious on this, afterall we all thought this when Wilde first ousted Lowe and longterm things did not go the way we expected or hoped. The same was about Burley and we ended up with Dodd & Gorman.
  8. It may just be particular to parts of Gloucestershire, but I often hear "tuth rather than "tooth" .
  9. Ince ? Seriously ? Okay, and without wishing to be accused of racism, I'll black my face up and buy a ticket. As opposed to just buying a ticket and going anyway. Ince is a 'Billy Big B0llocks' who talks a big game.No real attraction or record of achievement to put numbers on the gate.
  10. Yes.I believe this was decreed from on high. Had that lazy bastard Moses brought an eleventh tablet of stone down it would have said so. The twelth would have said "f^ck off Rupert, you beetroot cheeked spastic". This is the word of The Lord.
  11. I think we should have a HCDAT(akeover)JFU might be a good option. Along with a review of existing players as HM(ight)A(s)W(ell)F(***)O(ff)N(ow) thread.
  12. Anyone surprised His Rupertship did not attend St Mary's last Saturday given his newly found interest in our plight.Had he been there then I expect the pitch invasion might have had an entirely different mood to it. I have'nt got a ticket for Forest but will rely on those there to leave Lowe in no uncertainty as to his popularity.
  13. Lat bit concerns me.As Mark Fry are appointed to act in the best interests of the criditors and bank in particular why should there be any leaning to any consortium involving Lowe ? Yes his duty is to maximise the recovery for the bank, but has it not already been widely mooted that Barclays were not happy with working with RL.That being so,why would they wish to negotiate with him now ? Assuming of course FF's reference is involving Lowe and his cohorts .
  14. Cotterill might not be a bad option but I would have thought a prospective buyer might have been a little more ambitous. Would prefer Tisdale, but Cotterill would be next on my list of candidates.
  15. Sorry but I get fed up with this crap about Ince at MK.The team was largely built by Martin Allen.
  16. Gets my vote. Worry is though that 'new owners' may bring baggage of their own and not search wide enough for the perfect manager.Prime example if Souness is involved I fear Dean Saunders. Tisdale though looks the ideal candidate.I noted he was at the Eastleigh match for David Hughes so maybe Lawrie has discussed hypothetical vacancies with him.
  17. And how is it known they are from Guernsey ? Are people from Guernsey as distinctive as their cattle ? Or did they have 'potential investor from Guernsey' emblazoned on their briefcases or tatooed on their forehead ? I'm not knocking your post, but wonder how this snippet has come into the public domain.
  18. Perhaps they are reserving it for when James Mates is on (as he is a Saints fan).
  19. So we are to be taken over by 'Consortiums 'r' Us' then. Frightening thought but I just hope they don't realise on emptying their collective piggybanks that between them they can afford to buy Newcastle or Fulham instead.
  20. Eery. My son and I were only saying on Sunday we should move a massive great boulder across the entrance to His Rupertship's estate to stop the f^cker ever getting out again.
  21. That would be most welcome as many of the others mentioned appear to be either on a par with Nick Leeson, or in league with Rupes and Mikey.
  22. I too am concerned by the fact buyers have connections in both Channel Islands and Gloucestershire.Co-incidence ?
  23. Oh sh!t not another retirement home proprietor moving into football. Remember the last t0sser who gave up the 'Granny farms' for football.
  24. After recent years The Blunder Dome might be more appropriate,or The Stadium of Blight. Better than The Rupertdome anyway.
  25. Baroness Heinekin.
