Probably the best takeover in the world.

Rupert The Share. (Name given to him on arrival by one of the fanzines.) Or Rupert ; From Nutwood to Eternity.
-
Thought this point a good one about our similarities but contrasting fortunes:
-
I don't think it can be drawn out given the fact we are not a viable going concern.Things will detriorate even further if we do not have the mess sorted. As I understand it they have a duty to the outstanding creditors to try to obtain a swft resolution but maximise the return for the creditors etc. This would not enable them to dictate the timescale involved.
-
Who ? Do you mean the Administrators? I have read previously that Barclays had a better working relationship with LC than Lowe.
-
Was it in the Charlie Sale column ? If not it can't be true.
-
A good thing for us,especially if we avoid the drop this season because of it. In a wider context it would be a bit of a farce, and a loophole the League would swiftly close. Without doubting what you may have heard,I'm not sure the FA have any say in this.Does it not rest with the Football League to determine ?

...the appointment of Wigley.

Perhaps the council will withdraw £23m from the account they had deposited it in, with an Icelandic bank. Actually they would not be shelling out £23m but paying the mortgage on it gradually until the mythical buyer arrives. That said it seems too much of a political 'hot potato' to start shelling out at all on a football stadium when other services are under threat.Hope they do though
-
That is exactly what I'm fearing.Assuming this happens and we remain in CCC this season - even finding a buyer etc - this could be hanging over us for months well into next season, even beyond. Look how long the Tevez case has rumbled on.Admitedly far more at stake.Leeds spent nearly a whole season trying to dispute their deduction. That I'm afraid is typical of Lowe's arrogance to try a smart move not previously considered, and then bluster about it. Lets not forget this is Lowe the visionary, who would not let Hodle join North London yobbo's,brought a rugby coach to football, and then a revolutionary Dutch coaching set up.

This does seem a particular topic that the writer Olivia Lichenstein has a keen interest in: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1129978/How-faceless-amoral-world-cyberspace-created-deeply-disturbing--generation-SEX.html .

Most clubs don't have Lowe and Wilde at the helm though. Or Dullieu et al.
-
Administrator for SLH as parent company,or SFC ? My own estimate is for both, but obviosly suggestions abound that it will be for the parent company.I am uncertain as to the legality of this, and concerned as to how the League will accept it.

Could be an interesting and emotionally charged evening in view of this evenings developments.
-
Shearer obviously became fed up waiting for the Fulthorpe deal to materialise.
-
Lets hope he proves a good signing. Just wish Wotte's links with Arnesen, and the Dutch connection with Stamford Bridge didn't bring any good loans in.

Dean Gorre perhaps. Should rephrase the thread " Pulis out for season ,will anybody notice ?" By the way do you mean the remainder of this season,or perhaps a full twelve months so he'll be ready for the last six games of 2009/10 ?
-
I'm fairly indifferent to it,too much of a polo shirt to be a real football shirt.Far too expensive as well. If we get to the WC finals though I expect the kids will want it. Why the white shorts though ?
-
Agree with you totally on these points, although feel the handling of Jones departure was a hamfisted bumbling by Lowe trying to wrap it up.
-
Note the OS comment that Pulis "will play no further part in the current campaign "... I thought the f^cker had not played any part in it.Surely one of the most ridiculous signings in our history.Delgado and Perry Groves both came to us with injuries but at least there was some sort of pedigree in case they ever regained fitness.
-
Would that be Morgan the Paharsesque semi-permanent injury ? And the immobile Wotton ?I'm sure Wotton has something to offer in terms of experience and driving those around him but not sure he'd cover the same amount of ground as Gillett.

Not convinced that Ms is appropriate, although it is possibly a relatively safe option here. For Madam,I have always considered marital status irrelevant. It is the equivalent of Dear Sir. In recent years the use of first name has become more acceptable in business use. One question not asked though, how was the letter to you addressed,Dear Sir,or Dear Firstname, that should be considered. Finally if in doubt phone her office on Monday and ask the receptionist the correct name and title etc.Easier if its a big company perhaps and she won't be sitting next to the phone.

I think you are right there;it will be a great achievement for them to stay in the league.
