Why would Crouch confide in Chorley ? Without having a dig at Crouch -who has previously put his hand in his pocket- there were many accounts that he was prepared to put £2m into the club earlier in the year(subject to MW & RL doing likewise if I remember). If so,is there not a chance that he might not provide a quarter of that sum now as a cash injection?

If you look at the position of Chester in the league I think this is just wishful thinking on their part ie they might be spared from dropping out the league by default.

Have we beaten Burnley at SMS yet ? My fuddled brain thinks two 0-0 draws, and a 1-0 home defeat.Hope thats right because if so we are due a win against them. Sorted.Leaving aside the obvious limitation that we are crap, and very few of our players are up for a fight.

Retards. (In the boardroom for a few years.)
-
Is that having seen him play recently at any level ? or as a recollection of the player you hoped he might one day become ?
-
Hopefully neither of them.

Firstly,I was not parrticularly overwhelmed by NP's appointment at Saints.Nor do I see him as quite the 'second coming' that some on here do now. That said, he did what we hoped he would do for us and was a nice honest bloke which was refreshing. Above all though,I'm convinced he would have been a far superior option for us than the clowns Lowe lumbered us with. Size aside therein lies the difference with our loans. Wonder ifPearson will be trying to sign Gasmi,Pulis or Forecast from us now ?

Out of interest were the flowers left on the seats at The Leppings Lane end left by our supporterstravelling today ?

As long as I have breath in my body I will continue to hold that beetroot cheeked f^cker responsible for setting in motion the decline of Saints. Despite the intervention of,and assistance he may have received from,Wilde and Crouch it started with Lowe in 2004 and he fulfilled the 'kamikaze' management with JPand MW five years later.
-
No surprise.Another defeat. It is the legacy of Lowe.

A lap of dishonour would be more appropriate for many of them. As for BWP maybe most of his have been done in front of a magistrate or as part of an identity parade before.
-
Fresh start, yes but as for the above - No.All of the above are just w^nk;albeit to varying degrees of 9,18 and 24ct w^nk. Widdrington is a forum p!sstake,Holmes a nonstarter, and whoever suggested Martin Allen should take a closer look as to how wellhe has done at Cheltenham. Tisdale is the outstanding option.

I think there is a significant difference in that the parent company owning West Ham have gone into administration due to being dragged there by other subsidiaries ie banks or whatever. SLH on the other hand are perhaps more reliant on the football part of the business.

I give up, where is he ?
-
Was he American ? Or Arabic,or of Jewish-Iranian descent ?
-
Perhaps he has raised the funds by taking his 'empties' back

From a very quick glance I thought Mark Fry was sat next to Luggy, and the bloke just above the Omega sign was a distraught looking Paul McCartney.

I think you'll find that the Liverpool supporters manage to provide all the reflection, and an outpouring of grief that is sufficient for the rest of the nation. I was not expecting anything before todays game, and don't feel it was necessary for us frankly.Where do we stop ? The Bradford fire is equally deserving of remembrance, then there is Heysel. And New Year fixtures might also stop for the Ibrox disaster. Oh,and then theres Munich.
-
Nice idea.Mark Fry should book The Potters Heron for the press conference for a real nostalgia trip. His success at Fulham was really on the back of some serious funds which we don't have though. If he could return for the remainder of this season then it might provide the surge and impetus required.Lon term though we need someone to build the club back up.

With this current lot I suspect it will be first goal to decide the eventual winner. If we score first the crowd will help see them through it;conced and it will be another capitulation. Bit of a lottery then.Expect we'll lose 3 -1.
-
Pre season friendly v Dundee 1969 won 5-1. Following week, first home game of the season at The Dell v WBA. It p!ssed with rain and we lost 2 -0.

Boothroyd is overestimated on the back of a single season of success. Ince is a charlatan as a manager, as he was as a player. Tisdale p1sses on both IMO.
-
Let us also be thankful that Jade Goody was not born a Scouser as this might have meant televised all night candlelit vigils from Liverpool Cathedral, as legions of 'shellsuits' file past to pay respects. Not to mention national debate about cancellation of football fixtures etc. And yes I agree with Parky.

I do hold Lawrie in a high regard, for what he achieved at Saints, and in many ways wish he was still involved in the club in some capacity. He has been very quick to offer words of support. In our current crisis though it would be encouraging - and pleasing - to see such an icon shown and named as 'giving something back ' to the club which enabled him to make his name.

David Hughes Testimonial 26th April, a few old faces will be there

Pleased to see Tisdale is named there.Ideal opportunity for SFC to 'tap him up'.(Assuming the decisionmakers are in place by then - which I doubt.).
