Probably be out on a limb again after Martinez disappears to Celtic.
-
Name would be fine by me,but everyone will still refer to us as Southampton anyway.
-
The Echo would love to break the 'exclusive' as to identity of the investor. But we all know it is likely to be on here sooner.
-
What about if Baroness Heinekin is behind the takeover ?
-
Isn't he of Channel Island descent ? Might appeal to MLT. Pittman at Bournemouth is another, who could probably make a step up.
-
Hall & Woodhouse ? I still lament the loss of Eldridge Pope.
-
Perhaps the kindest thing that could be said of him,as per Quentin Crisp many years before, is that Danny La Rue was one of the nations favourite "stately homo's." Although not particularly keen on him or his acts he was certainly light years ahead of the dirge now served up as entertainment such as 'Lily Savage'.

Legend had it that Funnell was drummed out of the club after thumping Chris McMenemy who was also on the club's books at the time.
-
It seems he likes to leave snippets of (mis)information for us all from time to time.
-
Already gone to Leicester I thought. Not that their manager is any judge of a good player.
-
Good point. The FA will not accept the word of Tony Lynam and MLT that he is a fit and proper person.
-
I can't see that TL and MLT will be in a position to make management changes just yet.
-
Agree totally.I'd also add that it is pretty childish as well. MLT was a great player who wore the 7 shirt, arguably the greatest for Saints. But lets not forget that Paine,Ball and Keegan also wore that number. Wearing the No 7 shirt should be an inspiration to whoever is selected to wear it. If we continually drop numbers - No 8 for Mick Channon and 9 for Ron Davies seem deserving also- we will end up with an even more ridiculous numbering system than we already have.

Especially if served up by buxom germanic serving wenches... Back on theme,Guinness would be a good pre-match drink.
-
Yes,good memory. Although it may have been the 'household name' that withdrew.
-
But it has been stated "not involved in football before".
-
Is this in anyway connected to our new investor Morph ?
-
I don't think it would have to be removed for legal reasons. The investor wants anonimity for now, although there is no reason why anyone on here or in the media is obliged to adhere to that wish. The name could be released and as it is not causing offence or is libellous then there is no reason to delete it. That said,I think it is prudent to respect that wish.We would not wish to jeopardise the future of Saints,by creating a situation where the investor is hacked off by having the Echo etc camped outside their front drive etc.

Any liklihood of Salz and any heavyweights from that bid jumping on board the Pinnacle bandwagon ? Despite their critics I firmly believe the boardroom would be stronger for the inclusion of someone of Salz's corporate business and legal experience.

What a spastic there was no advantage in this for us. Hope he finds someone to translate that little outburst into Urdu and Punjabi so the locals around Brisbane Road can share the drift of it. Actually I have no gripe with Orient, afterall we always manage to win promotion there and the cup game in 1984 was one of the best booze trips I've been on.
-
I'd agree with that.Unless of course Paul Allen has engaged them to throw the media - and all of us on here - off the scent. I wasn't aware that he is on the Times Serious Wonga list to the degree we are talking of now though.
-
Sounds Dutch. A revolutionary new takeover perhaps ?

Dreadful version, sung at the pace of a death march. Try this for a more up tempo rousing version:

Another fat c^nt. Is his father trying to make obesity socially acceptable ? If I had a kid like that the last thing I'd do is allow the little runt to display his two bellies to the nation.
