I do hold Lawrie in a high regard,for what he achieved at Saints, and in many ways wish he was still involved in the club in some capacity. He has been very quick to offer words of support. In our current crisis though it would be encouraging - and pleasing - to see such an icon shown and named as 'giving something back ' to the club which enabled him to make his name.

Pleased to see Tisdale is named there.Ideal opportunity for SFC to 'tap him up'.(Assuming the decisionmakers are in place by then - which I doubt.).

I understand your point about Askham,and many people's loathing of him but at the very least he has made a donation of or in excess of £1,000.00. A name conspicuous by abscence is Lawrie.I have always been a great supporter of him but find this a bit galling to say the least given the career that he has made at SFC.Of course it is entirely possible that he has made a donation and does not wish it to be made public but that seems a little unlikely to me.

Slightly worrying that the thread is inviting enquiries/information on buying the club/investing in it still. Thought we were overrun with potential investors/suitors etc.

He is knowlegable and talks a good game.I'd take issue with the last part of your summary though. One point re Souness though wasn't he in tandem with the scouser Morgan to fund things ? If so that avenue will be closed as Morgan bought Wolves. There was also once mention of Souness/Kennedy (?),the latter also involved at Sale Sharks. To put the Mail article in context they also mention Merrington's consortium which is probably the Fulthorpe thing.So how up to date could that be ? Seems the Mail may have gone back to their archives to see who might still be floating around.
