I think you'll find that the Liverpool supporters manage to provide all the reflection, and an outpouring of grief that is sufficient for the rest of the nation. I was not expecting anything before todays game, and don't feel it was necessary for us frankly.Where do we stop ? The Bradford fire is equally deserving of remembrance, then there is Heysel. And New Year fixtures might also stop for the Ibrox disaster. Oh,and then theres Munich.

Nice idea.Mark Fry should book The Potters Heron for the press conference for a real nostalgia trip. His success at Fulham was really on the back of some serious funds which we don't have though. If he could return for the remainder of this season then it might provide the surge and impetus required.Lon term though we need someone to build the club back up.

With this current lot I suspect it will be first goal to decide the eventual winner. If we score first the crowd will help see them through it;conced and it will be another capitulation. Bit of a lottery then.Expect we'll lose 3 -1.

Pre season friendly v Dundee 1969 won 5-1. Following week, first home game of the season at The Dell v WBA. It p!ssed with rain and we lost 2 -0.

Boothroyd is overestimated on the back of a single season of success. Ince is a charlatan as a manager, as he was as a player. Tisdale p1sses on both IMO.
-
Let us also be thankful that Jade Goody was not born a Scouser as this might have meant televised all night candlelit vigils from Liverpool Cathedral, as legions of 'shellsuits' file past to pay respects. Not to mention national debate about cancellation of football fixtures etc. And yes I agree with Parky.

I do hold Lawrie in a high regard, for what he achieved at Saints, and in many ways wish he was still involved in the club in some capacity. He has been very quick to offer words of support. In our current crisis though it would be encouraging - and pleasing - to see such an icon shown and named as 'giving something back ' to the club which enabled him to make his name.

David Hughes Testimonial 26th April, a few old faces will be there
Badger replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
Pleased to see Tisdale is named there.Ideal opportunity for SFC to 'tap him up'.(Assuming the decisionmakers are in place by then - which I doubt.). -
Jimmy Gabriel will be back from Seattle then.

I understand your point about Askham, and many people's loathing of him but at the very least he has made a donation of or in excess of £1,000.00. A name conspicuous by abscence is Lawrie.I have always been a great supporter of him but find this a bit galling to say the least given the career that he has made at SFC.Of course it is entirely possible that he has made a donation and does not wish it to be made public but that seems a little unlikely to me.

Slightly worrying that the thread is inviting enquiries/information on buying the club/investing in it still. Thought we were overrun with potential investors/suitors etc.

Characters from Nutwood.

Actually he is trying to invest in Arsenal.Their fans have been telling us for years, "A-nil to the Arsenal". And if he can't wear a Saints coloured tie then we would not want him anyway.

Opposite to Alpine's response, I thought that was good !

So lets have a poll shall we ? Is a 'big helu' from Carlos likely or not ? Personally I'd say its a very slim chance.

Brilliant !! Her husband can select the porn films to be shown on the big screens at halftime as well.
-
Are you sure we are not being purposely misled here ? That photo looks a bit like Timothy Spall after some overtime working by the makeup department. He has even obtained a red and white tie from the wardrobe department.(Thought I'd add that for anyone viewing it in black and white).

??? Don't know if this should be a or a fully blown :smt082 Will have to research the term on Urban Dictionary or similar later.

Just been browsing an Exeter City forum and found the following snippets : This was posted on 12th March: A more recent post indicates that Flybe have had a bit of a huff with Exeter regarding a press story which indicates they are a bit sensitive to not being kept fully appraised of all things :

Always thought Ince had an uncanny resemblance to Kid Creole

On the subject of Jim Ratcliffe: So he's not interested in football then ?

I think the idea is that the brothers are actually of the same local/ethnic origin as opposed to one being Iranian and the other Israeli On reading this suggestion yesterday I posted a possible identity for this mysterious consortium as the Reuben brothers.Pretty sure their name had come up on one of the -many- takeover threads. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_and_Simon_Reuben Should we not make this thread a sticky btw ? In a sort of TCDAGTFU type of way ? ie "They could do a good takeover for us" in case anyone is wondering
-
He is knowlegable and talks a good game.I'd take issue with the last part of your summary though. One point re Souness though wasn't he in tandem with the scouser Morgan to fund things ? If so that avenue will be closed as Morgan bought Wolves. There was also once mention of Souness/Kennedy (?),the latter also involved at Sale Sharks. To put the Mail article in context they also mention Merrington's consortium which is probably the Fulthorpe thing. So how up to date could that be ? Seems the Mail may have gone back to their archives to see who might still be floating around.

Have reviewed this, the name I was thinking of which had appeared on a previous thread was David and Simon Reuben Leave it to you all as to how they match the description given to the original poster,or the likelihood of it being plausible: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_and_Simon_Reuben

These brothers have been mentioned on here previously in one of the many 'takeover' threads.Name has escaped me but no doubt it can be resarched.
