  1. Take your point re Tisdale or A.N.Other,and the possible attractions of SFC. But whilst there may be a lot of useless chairmen,we have one with a proven record of steering a disastrous course, almost on a path of self destruction.Ron Noades aside,is there a bigger arsehole or egotist in charge of any club ?
  2. Tisdale's career is still in the ascendency so its unlikely he will want to jeopardise his growing reputation by joining our rapidly sinking ship. I can not imagine any self respecting manager with his future to think of wanting to work take on that poisoned (puss filled) chalice of SFC, with Lowe. Cotterill on the other hand is still out of work.Given his knowledge of English and world football, the beetroot-cheeked bastard will be well aware of Cotterills finest achievements-albeit nearly ten years ago - at Cheltenham Town as its less than 10 miles from Rupert's home in Glos.
  3. Yes.The only desperate idiot in the village prepared to work with that vile C^ntbubble Lowe.
  4. I think this has to be one defeat too far,and Jan will go ..by "mutual consent",no doubt as we all know that Rupert does not sack managers.Nor does the beetroot cheeked bastard make -or admit to - mistakes in their appointment.
  5. Ball and Case. Armstrong is left midfield.
  6. When will Rupert Lowe just f^ck off ?
  7. He was also suggested as Hoddle's assistant if GH returned to us at one stage. An earlier post about Hockaday and the Swindon job carried a link to a Swindon paper which mentioned Calderwood as one of their preferred candidates.I can't see him leaving Forest for Swindon, unless he knows he is for the push,or perhaps Swindon have earmarked him pending him coming available again soon.
  8. Agree the parents must be total f*ckwits. I like the following:
  9. its probably his 'spiritual home'....until the Tottenham job is offered to him that is.
  10. not that I am aware of. Did see her on one programme where she was moving her right arm,but keeping it fairly straight and wrist/hand at a permanent right angle.Does that count ?
  11. Camilla ?
  12. His "big gambles" have a record of seeing us relegated. You and I can see it,as can most people with a modicom of football knowledge. The only daft bastard oblivious to it is Lowe.
  13. Therein lies the enigma of MLT. Genius, brilliant player and a one man rescue mission for us when we really needed him.But for all his skill and talent - which was undoubtedly world class-when he was at his peak,he could not always conform to a system of play, unless he was central to it. Perhaps, just perhaps, and as unpalatable as it seems we can now see the difficulty faced by a number of Saints and England managers in accomodating him. Of course on individual merit on he should be in a Greatest Saints XI,but it may need to be adapted for him in formation or style for him to be effective.
  14. Billy Davies will probably end up at Charlton or Forest.Whereupon we will see his new team slowly climb the league table. Perhaps he is not ideally suited to Saints, but the above just stands out as an inevitable outcome.
  15. I feel sorry for Jan given the resources he has. Frankly I doubt JC,with his all disciples as backroom staff could make a go of it working under Lowe.
  16. Terry Paine. No debate.Full stop. Paine would take this position entirely on his own merits as a RM,but the thought of Paine and Golac working on the right, possibly with some triangular passing involving Channon and Ball is an awesome one. Paine and Golac on our right, pity any poor bastard attacking down the opponents left. You must be joking, there is nothing close in that contest,Paine was light years ahead of Wallace in ability.

It is incredible how in a short space of time one man can undo the work of Ted Bates and Lawrie McMenemy. For all of his efforts,Ted (God bless) and Lawrie might not have existed. Take a bow Rupert Lowe.
  18. That would be my expectation ,and fear also.
  19. ..and someone to take advantage of the good passing football ie put the ball in the net.
  20. I agree with those who think anticpate JP is heading out. I feel desperately sorry for the bloke who always comes across as decent and honest. But of course he is handicapped by having f^ck all resources, and Rupert hovering in the background. If he does go,it will probably be by "mutual consent" and we can expect the customary Rupertspeak about how he didn't sack him etc etc.Of course there will be no possible thought that it might have been a flawed or risky decision in the first place.

    Re-incarnation

Rupert would probably think of himself as the latter day embodiment of Julius Caesar. His track record suggests he is the reincarnation of the Roman Emperor, Nero, fiddling as Rome burnt.
  22. St Juste from Darlington.
  23. I am pleased to hear that it did.
  24. I heard Rupert was trying to negotiate a reverse takeover of Saints by Woolworths.
  25. Did Eamon Collins ever play for us ? He was a future star brought from Blackpool under Alan Ball's recommendation, for which we received a fine for enticing a youngster from their academy. I can claim to have seen him play when he reached his natural level playing for Colchester Utd at Cheltenham in the then Vauxhall Conference.
