And yet at times yesterday we played some good, and neat, passing stuff moving the ball forward well (perhaps the last bit is a little uncharacteristic of how we often play though). The tippy tappy at the back gets on my tits though. Agree with you about the lack of grit, and weak spirit when needed. All it needed was for someone to put a foot in, or clear the ball at the end. (Incredible the Ipswich player had time to fall over, and get up to toe pike the ball in, with what seemed like three Saints players stood around watching).

Wasn’t Lumley regarded as crap at his previous club(s) ? Can’t say we’ve seen enough of him for an informed opinion, other than at the Watford cup game thinking Bazunu might have been crucified on here had he conceded the free kick that Lumley had. Another coup by our recruitment team perhaps.

Age - 17! “One for the future”. Great, that’s exactly what we need for a promotion push.
-
The only stand out moment with Bazunu for me has been his save at West Brom from a close range header. From our position at the other end it did seem a certain goal. On seeing it again on highlights it could be said it was a nice height for him etc, but he still had to get to it, and get it away (without putting it back towards an oncoming forward).

Would seem so to simple folk like you and I, who only pay to watch, but fortunately there are great opportunities for youngsters on Planet Semmens, and with Rasmus W involved.

amazing isn't it that no other club seem to have spotted his clear and obvious potential. Our scouting network really are on a different end of the spectrum to others.

As soon as he launched it, I wondered wtf is he doing, we spend all game tippy tappy keeping possession at the back, and the stupid sods only had to do it for about 40 seconds to have earnt a draw. Not the result we needed perhaps but commendable after going down to 10 men. When the ball landed with their GK, it was the Peter Crouch v Everton moment (just keep it in the corner flag) relived again...

The Jeremy Clarkson theory

Whereas we on the other hand ??? Are we unlucky, or do we just allow games to peter out and needlessly concede ?
-
We might still win on possession and get a bonus point

Leicester will at least be confident of beating us in the playoffs
-
Yes but come next season he’ll be like another new signing to propel us to automatic promotion. Until he gets injured on September 2nd after the window has slammed shut.
-
Should we go up then you’d hope for some squad improvements. As for the skates, I wouldn’t take beating them as a given, if we still have Bazunu in goal, and Martin in charge.

Nice memory David. For me, "Middlesbrough" conjures up two immediate memories of away games i was fortunate enough to attend~: Jan 1981 - 1-0 win at Ayresome Park , going top of the league for the first time in our history May 2012 - Riverside, losing 2-1 in the promotion run in. Still beyond belief their defender wasn't sent off at 1-1 when pulling back Lallana when clean through on goal.

Some absolute horror shows in that range, possibly the neatest kits are the Sporting Gijon, their plain halves, and a quartered shirt. Even when they get a home kit okay, the aways are a monstrosity.

Surprised the tabloids haven't obtained an(other) exclusive with Ulrika yet. Can't be far away.

But wait till Hendo's back, he'll sort it out.

Not April 1st until next Monday, have they released this too soon ?
-
As bad as the number of games they're facing, its also the travel, with home games in Gloucester (195 miles from Truro according to the BBC article).
-
Persoanlly I'd like to avoid Leeds to currently seem to be the complete package. But the farce or 'lottery' of the playoffs is such that any one of those teams might slip up to WBA, Hull, Norwich or whoever in their SF. Added to which we're not guaranteed to win our SF either.

No mention of a Lamborghini so has to be questionable how reliable a source that is.
