  1. On the face of it, it’s not a particularly exciting appointment. But I haven’t a clue what the blokes like, and I doubt many of the critics have either. Somebody at the club has clearly identified him as a good fit, so let’s hope they’re right. There’s nothing wrong with his failure at Stoke, provided he’s learnt from it and become a better manager as a result of it. Sometimes failure teaches you more about yourself than success. Another god botherer Davie Moyes has put poor spells at clubs behind him and done a decent job afterwards. The lack of top flight experience could be any issue, but I don’t see our lads as the “show us your medals” type of professionals. If he puts a few decent sessions on and is tactically intelligent, I’m sure they’ll buy into him. It’s a big chance for the bloke, let’s hope he takes it and in a couple of years time we’re calling him a disloyal twat when he fucks off to a bigger club.
  2. What about his team & performance against Leicester in the semi final? The attitude that day was pathetic.
  3. Does he fuck off down the tunnel when they lose?
  4. As opposed to mincing around with it going absolutely nowhere, until giving it away. And they’re all ITK. Fucking place must be as leaky as our defence.
  5. When was their first go?
  6. “Important figure” my arse. Hanging around for longer than other duds doesn’t make you an “important “ figure. Shows the noddy mentality at the club and within the fan base if anyone believes this pony. He inherited a shit show and has left behind a shit show.
  7. Typical Ralphball. Easy risk free passing, mincing about, and generally flattering to deceive. “Had Moi scored, had Che scored” blah blah blah. Had they both scored, I’d bet my life we’d still have lost, probably 5-3 or similar. I wouldn’t turn the radio on Thursday lunchtime if I was JWP.
  8. How can “money no object” come with the caveat “within reason”. It’s either money no object, or a budget.
  9. 😂
  10. This is a pretty decent article. Basically, they’re fucked going into the next presidential elections with Biden, Harris will be as bad & The GOP are also fucked because of The Donald. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-11392027/ANDREW-NEIL-Republicans-poised-victory-midterms-huge-political-crisis-beckons.html
  11. Why are they so “desperate “ to get away from France?
  12. Spot on. We also didn’t turn off the printing press’ early enough & didn’t raise interest rates quickly enough. Had we locked down longer, we’d have been in an even worse situation. Labour can tinker around the edges with wealth & windfall taxes, but they’ll be in the same straight jacket if they form the next government. The markets will view unfunded spending increases the same why it viewed unfunded tax cuts.
  13. By the time of the election their “plan” won’t differ greatly from the trajectory we’re on. In fact it wouldn’t surprise me if come that time Starmer will do what Blair did & promise to stick to Tory public spending plans. Anything else leaves them fighting Sunak on his home turf, risky strategy.
  14. Entirely possible, free from the dead hand of Ralph.
  15. What a load of old pony. They didn’t want to sell the benefits of The Euro, Schengen or ever closer union to the people because of some right wing backlash, they didn’t do it because they knew there was no fucking chance the Great British public would accept them. Forget about 48/52 it would have been a landslide had the remain proposal contained joining the euro. You’re deluded if you think it’s just right wingers holding back full integration. There’s not a hope in hell we’ll give up £, you’ve more chance of going to the moon in a shoe box.
  16. What a horrendous fucking pointless day. I felt like John Candy in Planes, Trains and Automobiles. Fucking replacement bus’ left right and centre, black cab & Ubers. Horrible waste of drinking time, (the journey, not the match……although on second thoughts). As for the game, they were a lot better than us first half, and we were slightly the better side second. Again, we’re too slow moving the ball, too obsessed with possession meaning sideways, backwards, safe passes over and over. Our whole approached summed up by the captain. Soft, safe, fucking possession for the sake of it. Horrifically boring side. Che Adams excellent until it comes to finishing, but if he could finish, he’d have fucked off by now. Lyanco’s error cost us a goal, but other than that did well against decent tricky players. Our crossing was woeful, absolutely terrible. Got in decent positions down the sides, but the final ball is poor. And why do we persist in fanning around at the back, Che can hold the ball up, get it up to him and play off him. He’ll get it down, then we can play from there. I’m sick to death of watching Prowse, Salisu & Diallio give sloppy passes to them in our fucking half. Talking of Salisu, he needs to shape up imo, Caletta carr looks the part to me, and ABK is probably our best centre half, so he could find himself Sat on the bench if he doesn’t cut out the sloppy shit.
  17. He does every single time we’re shit (which is most weeks). Next time we win away and he comes over to do that noddy jazz hands shite, he should be told to fuck off. However, our nods will lap it up. If you’re going to skulk away without acknowledging the fans when we’re shit, then don’t give it the Klopp impression when we actually win. He’s a fucking fraud.
  18. The last man standing from the birth of Rock and Roll has left the building. Crazy, dangerous and extremely talented, he was a one off. Rip Jerry….
  19. Which is why it was so important that Boris got us out. The debate now is not between being “In” as was, or out. But bring “In” with the euro, Schengen, no rebate & ever closer union,or out. As a “rules based” organisation, it’s probably best to assume the previous deal is gone forever. Perhaps people like John Major, William Hague, Cameron & other senior remainers should have stopped pretending they were Euro sceptical for career enhancement and sold the project to the British people. If I was in your side they’re the ones I’d blame, not thick voters or Sir Nigel……
  20. There is a striking difference between the way Remainers behave when we’re outside the EU to how Leavers reacted when the roles were reversed. They set up parties & contested elections, they persuaded people of their argument, they worked all hours under the sun to achieve their goal. What do remainers do, cry on twitter? Nigel stood in election after election, kept going and persevered, what did “Change UK” do? Threw the towel in after 1 go. Soubry could have been remains Nigel, instead she fucked off to post some gin soaked twitter posts. You’ve got a rabid remainer in charge of the Labour Party but he’s too frightened to make the case for rejoining, you’ve got remainers constantly banging on about the “disaster” of Brexit but all they want to do is whinge on the sidelines. Thank god we had Nigel and others on our side, people of action who were prepared to get their hands dirty, put the hours in and fight for what they believed in. These entitled chumps seem to think they don’t need to, and we’ll magically rejoin without breaking sweat.
  21. Robert Peston Clinton Morrison Steve Coogan Anyone who has anything to do with the “one show”.
  22. Yeah, I agree. It was all the lads in my local were talking about yesterday, The Garth Crooks Saints Web thread. It’s really going to hurt his nationwide profile if the mods lock it.
  23. I wonder why?
