  1. The Tories aren’t on the right. They may talk the talk, but when it comes to any meaningful polices they’re Blairites. Cameron was more comfortable with his Lib Dem coalition partners than he ever was with the membership. Most of their MP’s would be in a Liberal party if we had PR.
  2. Why?
  3. One thing you can’t criticise Ralph for was the way we came back from lockdown. He seemed to get that enforced break spot on in terms of fitness & getting the players back firing from day one. If he thought a couple of weeks off to recharge their batteries was the right thing to do, I wouldn’t disagree (provided they’re not pissing it up or stuffing their faces in front of The TV)
  4. The piss water they serve at 95% of grounds should be fucking banned anyway.
  5. I’ve got as much chance of playing for Brazil as he has. Fucking no chance….
  6. Nostalgia ain’t what it used to be. Nostalgia depends entirely on your age, for the over 60’s I doubt anything will beat Mexico ‘70. For others it will be ‘78 or ‘86, if your French it will probably be ‘98 and of course older Englishmen will say ‘66. For English & Irish people of a certain age, ‘90 was a special tournament, but I’d be surprised if many other countries think so (apart from the hosts). Personally ‘70, ‘82 & ‘98 are my favourites, but there’s clearly no right or wrong answer. Let’s hope in 30 years there’s blokes out there looking back fondly on Qatar ‘22……
  7. This forum never ceases to amaze me. Whether it’s politics, music, football or any other subject, every time somebody posts their mates opinion, someone they were talking to’s opinion or a text/message they’ve received,it always seem to back up the posters views. Strange isn’t it?
  8. Italia’ 90 has this myth around it, when in reality it was a pretty pony tournament. Most of the group games were shite & the final was horrendous. I wonder if other nations look back with nostalgia at it, it’s certainly nowhere near the top of my list. It didn’t change football, it would have happened anyway.
  9. You wasted a post on that pony?
  10. Fucking hell, has he used up his 3 posts today yet?
  11. Are people really moaning about Henderson going instead of JWP?
  12. Not a great fan, but do feel sorry for the guy. Been close a couple of times, but has gone a bit stale this season. This time last year he may have got in, but he really is off colour at the wrong time. It can be a harsh game sometimes.
  13. Haven’t got a clue about the bloke, but I want British managers who do well in the championship to have a pathway to the premier league. Hopefully he’ll do ok and other clubs will start to realise there are some decent managers & tacticians at the lower level that deserve a chance. Big opportunity for the guy, and a big gamble by the hierarchy, let’s hope it pays off.
  14. Dear God If that was the case surely they’d keep Ralph, thus saving paying him off and not having to pay Luton compo.
  15. What sort of noddy holds a season ticket at another club, especially when it’s not that far away from the team you “support”. Your opinion should therefore be placed in the pony bag.
  16. Driving home from the game Sunday I heard Blackmore address this. Says he chucked the name out there a couple of weeks ago as a personal choice, and some mugs on Twitter have run with it. Went out of his way to say it was just his opinion based on absolutely nothing.
  17. You’ve spent all season telling us Ralph didn’t sign the players, now you’re saying Jones did at Stoke. Based on what, your knowledge of Stoke City’s transfer policy 😂. Consistent as ever.
  18. Good.
  19. To be fair to Tella, he was probably fucked after playing for Burnley the day before.
  20. So do I, we haven’t won a game since he left.
  21. I thought Bally did a great job for us. Sensible choice.
  22. I’m waiting for the meltdown on here when Bournemouth appoint Bielsa.
  23. If football clubs listened to supporters Claudio Ranieri wouldn’t have ended up at Leicester.
  24. Alan Ball was a World Cup winner, one of the best players of his generation, but the city players pretty much took the piss out of him from day 1. This respect stuff is a load of old pony. If he runs decent sessions, is a good man manager and is tactically aware players will play for him. End of. He’s got a “pre season” coming up with most of them, time to get his ideas over and get some positivity around the club. Writing him off before he’s even met the players is ridiculous.
