Why does Salisu get a free ride from some on here. He regularly makes fuck ups and I’m not convinced he’s 100% committed. If a new signing pushes his levels back up to where they were, that’s a result even if the new signing doesn’t start every week. One thing for sure, with this bunch Salisu doesn’t need to play particularly well to get picked week in week out.

When you don’t compete, don’t score, don’t tackle or don’t mark people it’s irrelevant what formation you play. I’m all for constructive criticism, but a lot is crossing the line. Bloody hell I dread to think what Lawrie would get if he relegated Ted Bates team in this era (and no I’m not comparing Jones to Lawrie). This has been coming to a head for 18 months, “soft as shite mentality” is in our DNA now. Jones should at least be given the transfer window and a couple of seasoned pros to see if he can turn it round. If he can’t I’ll be the first in line with my pitchfork.

He continued with Prowse as captain when he clearly wasn’t up to it. To believe we were heading anywhere other than relegation under Ralph is deluded. His time had gone. Some people on this forum want it both ways, blame SR for Ralph’s failings despite him having years to sort it out, but blame Jones for the present predicament despite only being in post a few weeks. The buck stops with the manager, Jones is responsible for the shit show he’s serving up and Ralph was responsible for the fucking awful legacy he’s left him.

Well he’s clearly a better manager than the Havant & Waterloovile one but he’s not premier league level, whether he will be in time is a different matter. I think a broadcaster should be consistent, they’re piling into to Jones in a way they didn’t to Ralph, Blackmore sucked up to him constantly. They’ve done it here, contrast Blackmores words about Cowley to his words about Jones. Supporters are emotionally charged, but professional broadcasters should take the emotion out of it.

The re writing of Ralph is getting laughable now. We lost 9-fucking 0 twice. We suffered countless other shellackings, we failed to score against a side that had 9 men for a lot of the second half. We went to a semi final and lay down and died, we had some performances every bit as bad as yesterday and he made a cock of himself when we actually had a decent win. He spent every trip to Anfield or City with his tongue up Pep & Klopp arse and he blamed the players when we lost. Criticise Jones by all means, but don’t try and make out last night wouldn’t have happened under Ralph. It did, frequently.

We didn’t do it “time and time again”. In the last few minutes we were still mincing around, back to keeper, out to centre half, out to wing back, back to keeper. We played the last 10 mins like it was a 0-0, where we didn’t want to make a mistake (until injury time when the keeper made a taken gesture). There wasn’t the mad scrambles and basketball football you should see when chasing the game. We didn’t even throw a centre half up front. Just pass it around and accept our fate. Pathetic

This long ball narrative is a load of old pony. We don’t play hoof ball anymore than Brentford or West Ham, we used to play long balls with Vestergarrd in the side & knocked it long quite a bit last season for Borja. We still mince around with it at the back, hence the goal we gave away last night. A long hoof ball side wouldn’t have conceded like that. We still don’t get it in the mixer enough either. We had a few chances to do so last night and still fucking went backwards. Our long balls aren’t accurate enough and our forward line are hiding a bit. Broja would be able to play up top with this style, so hopefully we can identify a similar striker because Che can’t or won’t do it alone.

Anyone who thinks Fat Sam is the answer has clearly forgotten his spell at WBA. He’d be a disaster with this bunch of mincers and he’d want a boat load of cash to turn up. Rafa? He wouldn’t have been my choice, but we are where we are. So the question is do we sack him after 4 games (forget the Liverpool game because most new managers would have sat that out, protecting their “record” & if we’d won I’m sure this forum would have chalked it down to Selles), and without bringing one of his own players in? Two important things. Firstly, he’s not a “shit manager”, he’s not a “Sunday league manager” or any of the other nonsense posted on here. He did a damn fine job at Luton. In terms of over performing he’s probably one of the top over performers in the FL at that club. So as a club looking for a FL manager to step up to the next level we’ve taken a chance on him. He’s clearly not at that level yet and is learning on the job, whether he will learn and grow enough is incredibly doubtful at the moment. Secondly, he’s been handed a steaming pile of shite, probably the most disjointed softest squad we’ve ever had in the top flight. A damning indictment of the previous regime and present owners. Ralph let this situation drift, bought into this pony and had a fucking long time (in modern terms)to drive the culture in the club. This is just as much his mess as anyone else’s. Personally, I prefer to see who comes in during the window before pulling the plug, see if there’s a change in attitude and culture within the club. Somebody needs to take it by the scruff of the neck, get rid of the losing mentality and upset a few of the precious darlings. Personally, I think he deserves the chance to do this. I understand peoples anger and don’t think I’m a “better fan” than them. But with this shower of shite, the next bloke that comes in will face exactly the same problem. As he’s SR’s man, and the loss of face that’ll come with sacking him, he maybe given more leeway to do the nasty stuff and kick a few arses. Making a few tweaks to Ralph’s playbook won’t cut it. For anyone to think Rafa or Bialsa, would go anywhere near this lot is delusion of the highest order. Dyche or a Fat Sam won’t put up with these mincers. Both would sort out the men from the boys. I’d give Jones a month to see if he will.
