You can still enter a bright new era and improve the marketing you know! I do agree though that many threads have been negative though especially around perceived lack of player signing activity - it was short term-ism that got us into this mess and there are some that seem to demand instant success and signings for signings sake.

http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424& Some amusing posts, I particularly like the blinkered fool who thinks that they are one of the clubs in the Prem with the lowest amount of debt. They really should take the trouble to look at the accounts not only of Portsmouth City Football Club but Miland Developments 2004 Limited who are part of the group. And yes, I am enjoying their situation...thoroughly.

Hearts are not exactly Rangers...Rangers are more Ajax and we sold plenty for that one.
-
Only sold 6k-7k for their friendly against Rangers on Saturday apparently, and that includes 2500 Rangers fans!
-
Yes me too, not just because I think he is a good signing but because I think he is a Championship player and it would be a signal of intent - imo Saints are one of only a few clubs that Championship players would drop down a division to play for and these are the type of siginings we should be going after.

They changed the story.......

Portsmouth are 11/1 to finish bottom with Paddy Power
-
And coupled with that the request has probably come via David Coles, his mentor.

I think Derry meant the free kick for Rasiak's first. Was an excellent delivery.

Exactly the type of bruising man mountain we need at the back.

In the cold light of day, if you really did go under I don't believe for a minute you really would think it had been worth it.

Of course! But the accounts don't lie.....the offshore company in the Virgin Islands that is the ultimate parent company is also an interesting feature. I just can't see why you'd be a good investment - massive debts, the need to fund a new stadium, no likelihood of increasing turnover in the near future. Your rise to and existence in the top flight if football has been built on foundations of sand and potentially will/has put the very existence of your football club in jeopardy - has it been worth it? I am afraid that unless someone with serious money comes to your rescue, or the Dr has in fact got some £££'s then the future is looking very bleak for you.
-
I am not sure it is that simple - your last set of accounts for Portsmouth City Football and the group company Miland Development 2004 Ltd show companies with a combined net worth of negative £179 million - the current financial liabilities that these 2 companies have make the Sky money a drop in the ocean. Incidentally, both these accounts are for year ending March 2008, I should imagine things have got worse in the past 12 months or so. My personal opinion is that Portsmouth are on the brink.

Says he has a dysfunctional side, needs a couple of players and needs to do a re-building job. Pressure on to deliver from day 1. Exciting future, getting calls from everywhere offering players. Young players accelerated too fast and we need consistent players who can give 7/8 out of 10 every game. Young players have technical ability but no game knowledge, need more reserve team football. Had enquiries about a couple of young players but told they were not for sale - good position to be in.

You really need to move on.

....and has signed for MK Dons.

Were they giving out UN food vouchers on the gate?

That a fair point Gingeletiss so I will temper my "terrible" assessment to mediocre/very average! The point I was making is that if we were to re-sign him I would hope that this would be on the basis of playing him at CB not RB.
-
Every single one he played for us at right back! He only really came into his own and estbalished himself as a first team player when we moved to CB where he excelled - no better than Llloyd James at right back, possibly not as good. Ask Fulham fans what they think of him? Problem is that Fulham have only played him at RB.
-
He is terrible at right back, much better at centre back.
-
I think Tisdale is a talented manager and as per my previous posts I would have been very happy for him to be here, but Pardew is a much better choice.

Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)

Another thread ruined by your fixations and jabberings - when are the Mods going to ban this idiot for good? -
Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)

I would much rather have the Liebherr model than the Notts County version - they are a Portsmouth waiting to happen.
