Lack of a large amount of money since we were relegated from the Prem would be nearer the truth and it was Lowe who oversaw that. We did compete until 2003 but it was post Cup Final that Lowe lost the plot, we could have been one of those rich city clubs if only we'd still have been in the top flight when the new TV deal was negotiated.

Yes, I suppose it could look like that in the world of PR.....but history tells us Lowe likes to stick his nose where he shouldn't into football matters. I would pose your question back at you....how do you know what sort of talk it was......unless...???
-
A football chairman shouldn't be anywhere near the players giving pep talks - it totally undermines the manager unless the chairman doesn't think the manager is capable of motivating them (or thinks he can do a better job being a football expert) .....hmmm.

There a quite a few unrealistic candidates in terms of £££'s so for me the best realistic one is Paul Tisdale - when he took over at Exeter he inherited a club that had just come out of administration and was a mess (so he'd know what he was letting himself in for!) - they play good football and he has been successsful there on a small budget. From what I have seen he is strong minded and articulate and of course is an ex-Saint.
-
Yes - Poortvliet tries to use the same set up and tactics at home but because away teams set their stall up differently they don't work - and he has no Plan B - does that answer your question?
-
I agree, MLT is the only person capable of truly uniting the fanbase.

Malcolm Webster also disappeared without any mention on the OS. -

It' simple - Lowe has no idea how to treat people. -
Are we the only team who can't sack our manager, regardless of the results?

Totally different circumstances and a different era - he didn't have a boardroom circus going on around him for starters nor was the club on the brink of administration. Coupled with that he was a competent manager/coach/motivator/tactician - I am afraid I do not think JP fits any of these descriptions. -
Like many of our young players he could do with a few months on loan at a lower division side, get some experience and make the mistakes at the expense of loan club - unfortunately the Championship is not a good place to learn your trade (or against Man Utd!) and certainly not when there are 6 or 7 other players in the team and therefore the same situation - hopelessly exposed time after time today and Utd never really needed to go up a gear.

You are re-writing history again - Crouch was not responsible for 81% of revenue being spent on the squad - he was only Chairman for a few months FFS - remind me, who signed Rasiak on a long contract and massive wages???
-
lol, deluded....what other gems did he come up with?
-
Its about time this sort of thing came out in the open - there have been whisperings for years regarding Lowe's tactics and treatment of people - lets get it out in the open so we can all see what many of us suspected - Rupert Lowe is unfit to run our football club. I empathise with the supporter who broked own in the meeting, the club as we knew it is dying.
-
At best that is re-writing history - I think you need to look closer at Wilde. By the time Crouch came in the damage had been done.
-
I was being slighly ironic - my point being we play the ball around fantastically in the middle part of the field but are s@@t everywhere else.
-
We are the best midfield team in the country - but defensively we are weak physically and up front we have nothing.
-
The unrealistic value that Lowe and his gang want for the shares may have put some people off coupled with the debt that they would have to take on - were Lowe and Wilde to take Crouch's line and offer them for free that could only be a positive couldn't it?
-
Or if Keane leaves they appoint a second rate cheap option coach clearly out of his depth.
-
Once again Lowe uses an article to have a dig instead of looking at the positives - he just can't help himself - and yet still seems to forget it was under his stewardship that we got relegated, the single biggest reason bar none that we are in this mess. If you want the fans to move on Rupert you need to as well.
-
There seemed to be a new GK coach last night - anyone know who he is?
-
Hear what you are saying Tim but I don't think it is a case of us not getting behind them at home - the problem is that the system we play at home is negated by the away team too easily - away from home where the onus is on the home team to attack, we tend to be able to play more freely. We need to adopt a more attacking attitude at home with a different system incorporating 2 strikers (at least!). So in a way at SMS the kids are being stifled - I think that is where the fans frustration comes from at home games - its not like we don't want them to do well or give them backing.
-
MLT is one of the few people that could unite the fan base at the moment - interested parties should take note.
-
Lowe, Crouch and Wilde should work together for the good of the club.

I would like to see them publically put their shareholdings up for sale for a nominal amount to encourage a takeover, any incoming investor would then only have to take on the debt - the three may as well, administration will render their shares worthless anyway - if I was interested in investing I would probably wait for administration to happen and pick us up for a song - this would be a far better way and would show they really do have the club's and not their own personal interests - sadly I think only one of the three really does. -
I think it was Luke Byles ladysaint.
