Says he has a dysfunctional side, needs a couple of players and needs to do a re-building job. Pressure on to deliver from day 1. Exciting future, getting calls from everywhere offering players. Young players accelerated too fast and we need consistent players who can give 7/8 out of 10 every game. Young players have technical ability but no game knowledge, need more reserve team football. Had enquiries about a couple of young players but told they were not for sale - good position to be in.

You really need to move on.

....and has signed for MK Dons.

Were they giving out UN food vouchers on the gate?
-
That a fair point Gingeletiss so I will temper my "terrible" assessment to mediocre/very average! The point I was making is that if we were to re-sign him I would hope that this would be on the basis of playing him at CB not RB.
-
Every single one he played for us at right back! He only really came into his own and estbalished himself as a first team player when we moved to CB where he excelled - no better than Llloyd James at right back, possibly not as good. Ask Fulham fans what they think of him? Problem is that Fulham have only played him at RB.
-
He is terrible at right back, much better at centre back.

I think Tisdale is a talented manager and as per my previous posts I would have been very happy for him to be here, but Pardew is a much better choice.

Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)

Another thread ruined by your fixations and jabberings - when are the Mods going to ban this idiot for good? -
Munto Finance v Markus Liebherr (Notts County v Saints)

I would much rather have the Liebherr model than the Notts County version - they are a Portsmouth waiting to happen. -
He's a former England U-21 international so probably best not to let your lack of football knowledge cloud your judgement.
-
I thought Murty looked ok on Saturday considering he is not fully fit - read the game well and has a much better positional sense than Lloyd James (that will come with experience/decent coaching) - this got him out of jail a couple of times when his lack of pace was evident. If we sign Murty, which I hope that we do, then I would say between them we will have RB covered.
-
Centre Back worries me - Perry doesn't really have the height and I would see him more as a reserve CB this season - Lancashire I don't think is up to the job to be honest. This only leaves Wayne Thomas who looked good on Saturday, but is he staying? I could see us needing 3 or 4 new players in the heart of defence.
-
I think it was more a case of he was training with them (one of his former clubs) to keep fit until he got an offer. Happens quite a bit.
-
As with any appointment, whether we are happy or not is not relevant but what matters is results on the pitch - that is how a manager should be judged and not pre-judged by previous history - the majority were happy with Burley when he was appointed and unhappy with WGS when he got appointed and we got both of those wrong.

Forecast seems to be having a blinder tonight. Bart seems to be another one who needs a fresh start somewhere - loads of promise but over the past couple of years has gone to pieces and he makes me nervous.
-
From the text commentary it appears that Forecast is keeping us in it.

Sounds like we are under the cosh, but thank goodness that talented youngster Barry Hayles has gone off, we have a chance now........
-
I would agree with this - when I saw him last season I thought he did well and has potential.
-
Interesting....where has that come from?
-
Err but you suggested Peter Taylor. Actually though I agree in a sense, I would rather have Strachan or Keegan but, if we go down the up and coming manager route, can you think of anyone better?
-
Yes, last season automatically, they also haven't spent anything on a player since 2004 - must be the coaching.....
-
Yes. Saints fan but Exeter is my home town. P.S. They stuff your suggestion Peter Taylor's every time they play them - he managed Stevenage before Wycombe.
-
Yes, he is intelligent, articulate and innovative and Exeter City play excellent football. I think if we aren't going to go for a "big name bums on seats manager" then he would be the perfect choice. HTH

Don't like it at all, just looks wrong, colours don't go together, top yellow bit looks like an afterthought. Really bad, I hope we are on a 1 season policy with it.
