The comments below the article are interesting - their fans basically saying it is the worst draw they could of got and basically they are very pessimistic.
So on the basis of first leg results it will in all probability be one of:
7 Vitesse (NED)
8 SK Sturm Graz (AUT)
9 R. Charleroi SC (BEL)
10 FK Vojvodina (SRB)
11 Odds BK (NOR)
12 FK Mladost Podgorica (MNE)
Bound to be Vitesse on the basis RK has managed them. Mladost Podgorica would probably be the easiest tie (stadium capacity is only 2000).
What a load of rubbish, season ticket money is small change compared to TV Rights for example so I hardly think that the club is dependent on it, this isn't the 1970's.
We could re-negotiate that element though presumably as it is nothing to do with AM. Clearly he will command higher wages now (which Spurs will pay) and if RK is to be believed the player wants to come to us.
I wonder where Toby's agent fits into all of this - presumably with a lower transfer fee Saints could afford to pay a higher signing on and agent's fee.
They would be the same ones moaning at the board if for example we had forgotten to inform Werder Bremen that we didn't want Elia and had to stump up £5m.
By the sounds of it they have effectively already sold him to us though. Legally it's interesting - I suspect Saints have been asking Athletico to transfer Toby's registration which they have refused to do.
