He was talking about it as recently as last week...not to mention the obvious planted article in the Telegraph earlier this week. I haven't seen many fans on here demanding a statement...we don't need one, we've been here before and we know how it works.
He has done the same interview for Koeman's, Pochettino's and Clyne's contracts..all of which have ended with the same result. I'm sure he is doing a good job generally but on the topic of contracts he is better off just shutting up.
Taking the emotion of our love of SFC out of it..is it that different than any of us? I enjoy my job and work for a great company, but frankly if someone offered to treble my wages I'd be gone in a heartbeat.
Why are you bothered? In January you were saying that Koeman was useless. You must be delighted. As for your suggestion about Giggs, I would stick to posting your homoerotic Llloyd Isgrove fantasies if I were you.
Taking Koeman's utterances around seeing out contracts at face value, I can only imagine that he will go only if Saints have ok'd it - it is not so unlikely that he has informed the board he won't be signing a new deal and the club have decided to cash in now on the compensation (we never let players who have any value run their contracts down) as well as avoiding a season of speculation and uncertainty. If this is the case then far better it happens now than later in the summer or even mid-season.
Yeah, like you said in January, Koeman has to go and bring in Pearson or Allardyce, utterly terrible manager, doesn't know what he is doing...obviously.
