Honestly, yes. I know that this might seem like it is with the benefit of hindsight but Johnson is Liverpool's weakest link by a mile, let alone England's and Gerrard's legs went the season before last although I know where you are coming from ref. systems - Pirlo's legs have also gone but he is brilliant in the role he is being asked to do.
-
Lampard and Gerrard in the same squad, or even in the squad, is not forward thinking - and as for Glenn Johnson.....he is the one player that makes me still optimistic of a call up.

The fact is that the "revolution" and integration of young players should have happened after the Euros. It's a shame the FA didn't have the ******** to say, ok we are going to change the way we play, and we are going to throw in the youngsters and may not qualify for the world cup - stick with it because by the Euros we will have experience and a real sense of how we want to play the game. But no, we go on picking the same old tired players, play the same old disjointed way - why? ££££ - World Cup worth too much commercially. It's a shame - I wish England played like Saints.

Thanks as always

It wasn't the youngsters that let us down.

Better than Mayuka apparently.
-
Shouldn't have lost that - we might not have done if Hodgson had the balls to take the passenger that was Rooney off. Also, just can't see the point of Wilshere.
-
I never thought I'd see the day when I'd prefer an Andy Townsend commentary.
-
I seem to remember Espanyol fans saying the same about Pochettino.
-
Sounds like stirring by Ashton again - not least because these days presumably transfer requests and such like would be submitted via his agent or management company.
-
Given the undoubted current concerns within the playing squad about the future direction of the club, Kelvin is the last person we should be looking to get rid of - huge dressing room influence.
-
If the top teams come calling and the player wants to go they will go eventually - it is that simple unfortunately. All the board can do is get the best price they can.
-
I don't think these deals are about the £££ from their perspective. What's the point of keeping any player who doesn't want to be here.
-
I don't agree. Adam could easily have fckued off for 500k when we went into League One but chose to stay, he owes the club nothing. Rickie has been magnificent for us, surpassed all expectations, paid us back tenfold and you can understand him wanting to play for the team he supports...just as we would if we were in the same situation. I don't want to them to go either but you can understand their motives - I trust the club will get the right deal for them.
-
I don't think you can deny either Lambert or Lallana their moves, gut wrenching as it feels.
-
Does it get better or worse??
-
Can she play up front?
-
If I was him I'd change my username - no coming back from that post, ever.
-
I hate Spurs too which is why its good that he is going there - s*** fans with ideas way above their station still living in the 80's. It will go badly wrong for him in my opinion - he will get no leeway with their expectations being unrealistic from day one. They will moan that he is just another AVB.
-
True. Personally would rather give someone like him a chance than some of the names mentioned though. Any appointment is a gamble.
-
Howe is a good shout. Has overachieved massively at Bournemouth and has probably taken them as far as they can go. Intelligent, articulate, forward thinking and his teams play on the floor.

That and saying that a few of our goals were "worldlys" a couple of times. The script has been changed to blinders
