Unless you're using a 3 wood

You sure? They might just be restin' due to them bein' tired and ****ged out following a prolonged squawk

But I can't see Kanu being a problem for Chinny, if he really has opted to go for litigation. Not much chance of an enforceable judgement within the 2 years Chinny needs to sweep up the remaining PPs.
-
And then there were six. Well, five really not counting Kanu.

Another journalistic masterpiece from Neil Allen: Just as Appy mounts his white charger, or maybe it's an orange airbus, to ride back into town. "Who's that coming over the hill?" "It's Happy Appy"

I don't think it's as straightforward as we make out on here. Nigel is obviousy a big fan of the right foot + left foot centre back pair. I'm pretty sure we'll sign another right footer. Left footers are harder to come by, and Nigel might take the view that an "adequate" natural left footer is a better option than a "good" right footer playing on the left. I wouldn't be surprised to see Seaborne in the 25 as back up to Jos.

I believe, in spinglish, a "significant seven figure sum" is somewhere between £1,000,000 and £1,999,999 £2,000,000 and above is defined as "several million pounds".

You aren't, and neither is sotonswan on the previous page. The only people taking the Trust seriously are .............. the Trust.

Isn't the phrase "pre-season" a bit presumptious? Wouldn't "friendly" be more appropriate?

There's no rush. Their first game isn't until 14th August.

It's probably for your own good.

They haven't had any points deducted yet. And they won't as long as Pompey 2010 Ltd (in admin) continues to limp along. That's why they can't appeal. They will only have points deducted if somebody takes them over at some point in the future.
-
So it's 10th August. That's obviously because: a) He has to give the staff 17 days notice, or b) That is exactly the day his cash runs out, or c) He has yet another "agenda". Can't the bloke ever speak the truth? Just once?

Watch out for those last-minute elusive "third party" types.
-
Can this be considered as a yardstick? We've come a long, long way in a very short space of time (I hope).

Bollocĸs. Looks like they're saved.

Under the sheer weight of 2010 CVA creditors all trying to respond to Trev's request to contact him to pledge their support for the great new offer at the same time

They wouldn't be paid under the FCR, they would be paid under PL rules, which say that centrally-distributed funds will be withheld and paid directly to football creditors if there are arrears. Parachute payments are included in that. The only dilemma is that the precise category of football creditors, in circumstances where a club is liquidated after being relegated but while still receiving PP's, is not defined. What is clear is that the PL have to distribute the remaining PP's to the PL clubs after paying the FC's.

From one of the emissaries sent in person to hand-deliver the plea to the players this morning:
-
I wonder if there is any particular reason why you would phone the Football League to ask them what the Premier League would do with the parachute payments?
-
Two journalists who were clearly at different training grounds this morning: Or maybe they just have a different agenda.

van Persie?

Neither, but he might well have a UK passport.
