  1. I think if Gazza stays at Saints for the next 2 seasons he will qualify as home grown. He will be 20 on 1 Jan 2013 so season 2013/14 will count as U21.
  2. What makes you think Bolton are gonna win the Tour de France? I didn't even know they'd entered a team.
  3. Well they won't now, will they? Idiot.
  4. I don't think he needs to. I think rb hit the nail on the head:
  5. That appeal process is aimed at clubs that have points deducted for going broke while holding a golden share. It doesn't apply to the Skates.. There is nothing for them to appeal against. They haven't had any points deducted. And when they do, they won't be able to appeal either, because they will already agreed to the deduction in advance. Otherwise they won't be offered the golden share. I don't think any Court can instruct a private member's club how it must exercise it's absolute discretion. It's watertight, and they're screwed.
  6. You're missing the point trousers. I could send him that list, and so could half the people on this board. It's a public document. That's not what he wants. If he has to drum up support from all the names on that list he's dead in the water.
  7. Looks like shiť or bust time has arrived. Risky strategy to take on the FL, so clearly there is no buyer unless the sanctions are lifted. Not just the points, that's the least of their worry. Also interesting to resort to pleading on the OS. They could have just asked Baker Tilley nicely for the information they want. Or maybe they did. I can see vans out all over Portsea with those megaphone loudhailers on the roof, searching desparately for last-minute creditors.
  8. I did note, when I read the statement, that it says that he signed a 4 year contract this morning, and it was reported this morning after he signed it. If you want days filled with endless "hopefully" PR, there's a place you can get that.
  9. Am I right in thinking that, at the moment, they've got more registered insolvency practitioners than registered players? I make it: 3 from PKF (PFC 2010 Ltd. in administration) 3 from UHY (CSI Ltd. in administration) 3 from David Rubin Ptnrs. (Miland Development 2004 Ltd. in administration) and some from Baker Tilley (PCFC Ltd. in liquidation) THAT is definately the most expensive squad in L1.
  10. I expect they will when he does. I'm easily confused by all this stuff, but do we know if he's actually had a medical yet?
  11. I would, just to be safe: I had to read it twice, to be sure
  12. ...in 12 minutes
  13. The Trust haven't got anywhere near £5m. Don't ignore all those throwaway "Mr. Chainrai will work with other purchaser(s) for the benefit of the club" comments that keep popping up in interviews from time to time. The Trust needed to do a "never-never" deal with Chainrai on the secured debt, and the FL scuppered that.
  14. Chainrai is the only secured creditor. He only had to make an offer to settle the unsecured creditors. The Trust will have to make an offer to settle the secured and the unsecured credtiors. I think. It will get very messy, and won't end well, if they try that. My money's still on liquidation, with Chainrai getting the ground, the players getting the PPs and the Trust getting everything else to start up their Phoenix.
  15. You're starting to think like them Nick. You need a holiday. p.s. My spy has just sent me this photo, taken after the committee read that the Trust is ready with a bid to buy the club:
  16. I just got this photo of the FL disciplinary committee, taken just after they read about Pompey "leaving all their dross at home to be shown the door by TB" while taking a complete new squad of free "trialists" on a European tour:
  17. There isn't a 28 day deadline any more. This BBC interview with TB straight after the CVA meeting clears that up, from about 4 mins in until the end. Creditors do have 28 days to appeal against the CVA, but he doesn't expect that to happen. He says he expects that moving the players on will take more than 28 days, and doesn't rule out still being in admin at the start of the league season against Bournemouth. However, do bear in mind that the interview was before the FL imposed their conditions on sale. Now that they have, I'm not sure that he will be so keen to hang on in there if there is a distinct possibility that there will not be a buyer at the end of the day. I think the next "deadline" is payday.
  18. An update from the SFA website:
  19. Lafferty played in a friendly for Sion, but has since been sidelined waiting for FIFA clearance.
  20. Don't be hasty, Nick. Wait for the "triallist's" reactions when they find out that the wage cap is fifteen hundred quid a week. Should be almost as funny as Appy's when he finds out.
  21. Pathetic effort. Proper pedants know full well it's actually Lac Léman.
  22. Also keep your eyes peeled for Appy's favourite word "hopefully". It appears in most of his quotes, and usually renders the entire article a load of old gobshíte.
  23. I think "paid up to date" is roughly the level they're looking for.
  24. Yep, good move.
  25. I thought a weekend poll might be fun. So here goes: Where will Pompey's squad be on Monday? a Spain b Gatwick Airport (arguing at the Ryanair check-in) c Eastleigh d Nigeria
