  1. If you're going to go somewhere as awful as the East End you should go all in and head to a disgusting and rough boozer, not mince about a Wetherspoons in the deserted City or cower by Waterloo until the last minute. Get down Green Street / Barking Road and obtain a macabre social insight that will, ukrimately, remind you how lucky you are.
  2. I don't think Koeman was saying he had never heard of Cerci. He was saying he hadn't heard of any rumours that the questioner was alluding to. The whole thing was rather confused by the questioner mispronouncing the name several times and Koeman not having a clue what the prat was going on about. He then decided to ask a question about Wayne Rooney and another about Neil Warnock FFS! Either way, I don't think we're after Cerci.
  3. Would be gutted. I'd rather sell Morgan.
  4. Then you really have no clue what you're watching I'm afraid.
  5. Although Gaston wasn't on for long he looked raring to go. Every time he got the ball he surged forwards. If Tadic is going to be used predominantly as a "winger" then Gaston will have an important role to play as the link man. We were crying out for him against West Brom. There are obviously some matches where having three "battlers" in midfield is desirable but against the more limited sides, and particularly when we have deeper midfielders as good as Vic, Morgan and Cork, there's definitely space for him to create an impact.
  6. Yep, and Cops America next summer.

    Pelle

It rhymes better with "div", which, in your case, is more apposite.
  8. I thought Yoshida was pretty good yesterday. Ideally, we sign a player who is decent at RB or CB and then that's the defence sorted with decent depth in all positions. All we really need then is an attacking player who can carry the ball at pace. Not too fussed if Morgan leaves. Wanyama is really growing into an exceptional player and if Morgan moves on it'll give JWP and Taider a chance to develop in a more natural position than being shoe-horned into a top-of-the-triangle/wide role.
  9. And Scot McDonald.
  10. I would rest Clyne, Wanyama, Tadic and Forster as we don't have any real cover for them and they are key players. It would also be good for Gardos to play. So I would pick: Davis (i assume Boruc will be at home) Cork, Gardos, Yoshida, Bertrand, Schneiderlin Taider, Ward- Prowse Long, Pelle, Isgrove Bench: Forster, Font, Stephens, Davis, McQueen, Mayuka, Reed
  11. I hope so and he rolls around by the corner flag again.
  12. Thanks y'all. I'm actually going to be in central London on the day (meetings in the City, what, what) but the Clappers tip is a good one for after.
  13. Most don't carry on for months whilst clearly insolvent and continuing to spend. And that's without even touching on the lack of sanction for the obvious criminality that was going on behind the scenes.
  14. Hello everyone. London Bridge is not working next week so the usual train to South Bermondsey and back takes a long time and involves interchanges. After the match it'll take an hour to get to Waterloo from there. Wondering if anyone has walked to Surrey Quays tube before after a match there? That would seem to be the quickest way of getting home but I don't want to scuff my Gazelles, break my Sergio Tacchini zip top, or lose my Acquascutum scarf. Will I be safe?
  15. If you price season tickets too low in reliance on Sky money, what are you going to do if you get relegated, increase prices? Like someone else said, it's fine if you're Dortmund/Munich/Barcelona but it's too risky if you're Saints. If people want prices to drop they need to stop buying tickets. At the end of the day, from a business perspective, if you're selling out 80%+ of the ground then prices, by definition, are not "too" high. I wish it were cheaper but it would need some sort of central governance to achieve. Can't expect clubs like Saints to take the risk alone.

    Taider <3

    Yay, I love Deppo.
  17. Sounds funny, but an interested Osvaldo would have won us that IMO. Not sure Lovren would have prevented either of their goals and maybe their centre back wouldn't have got done by Tadic for the first! That said, Lovren will be the biggest miss over the season.

  19. That's what I would pick as well. Hopefully Gaston is available too for the bench.

  23. Maybe we're looking for a right back who could do a job at CB. No idea what sort of player Byram is?
  24. The girl. "Keep it on".
  25. As an aside, I nailed a girl in the yellow away kit in Cardiff after the cup final. True story.
