Just watched the highlights. 1st and third goals were even better than I thought. Connolly and Lallana are top, top, players at this level. Also, for those who say Guly can't play wing, watch the highlights again - he might not be a spectacular winger in the sense of skinning players but he does create openings. Only one legitimate penalty shout in the match and that was ours, when Chaplow got taken out having just hit the post.

I think he had a really good game. He had a couple of dodgy moments with the ball at feet but that is probably to be expected at his stage of his career and playing on the biggest stage yet. He's never going to be Beckenbauer but he did all his primary jobs very well - he is very solid in the air, has a decent turn of foot and was well positioned. Leeds' strikers weren't the greatest; will he be able to deal with multi-million pound football legends like Maynard, Long, Sharpe? We shall see. "Possibly" is my current opinion.
