Should've rubbed his nose in some dog poo too.

    road rage

I accidentally soaked a pedestrian once. He got the rage but I got out and said sorry. He could tell I was sincere so he calmed down a bit. Luckily he was dressed pretty scruffily and was only going home so no harm done.

    The Budget

Presumably because the country is in a large recession with a massive structural defecit. It is not Osbourne's job to fill everyone's pockets with monopoly money. For someone who seems so staunchly opposed to anyone actually making money you seem to have quite a grasping attitude towards it if it is given to you on a plate.

Why do you do that? Don't you think it makes you a *****?
  6. If they are wound up soonish: Peterborough will lose three points and a remaining home fixture Huddersfield will lose three points but have the same number of matches left Bournemouth will lose six points () and have the same number of games left MK Dons will lose no points but will have one less away game to come Leyton Orient have not played them at all yet We would lose no points and one remaning away game (and our GD would increase by one). Looking at that, you would have to say it would be to our not inconsiderable advantage (and would also be useful for MK Dons) and would probably shaft Peterborough the hardest, although hopefully it doesn't happen.
  7. If the administrators can't do a deal and the club cannot trade then in all likelihood they will wind it up irrespective of where we are in the season. Any purchaser knows they are getting a League Two club so it's not as though Plymouth will appear any more or less investment worthy in the summer.
  8. Yeah, but what good is that to me? I want my minute's silence so I can publically show everyone what a true gent I am.

    Tonights games.

Not bothered about MK Dons at all. If anything, I hope they win as Orient will have nothing to play for by the time we go there.
  10. I really have no idea what point you are trying to make.
  11. If he plays against MK Dons will presumably depend on whether we play 4-4-2 or a different shape in midfield. If Lallana and Chamberlain ar fit we will probably go 4-4-2 which is likely to mean Hammond and Chaplow start but if one of them is out then I wouldn't be surprised to see us start with: ----------------------------Hammond------------------------ ------------Chaplow------------------------Stephens--------- -----------------------Lalla/Chambo/Guly--------------------
  12. All points I agree with but why use defenders to fill in if we can purchase a decent central midfielder who seems to have bags of potential and has been the stand-out player in a very average team this year? Neither Butterfield or Dickson would be likely to play the game in the same way. We have the combative "energy" midfielders... what we don't have at the moment is someone who will knit passes together in and around the front players and Lallana/Chamberlain. Sounds like that's the sort of player that Stephens is.
  13. Reeves is a left back. Dean is very raw and was only recently signed.... Not sure what the relevance of Richardson and Dickson is as they are not central midfielders and that is an area where we could do with more of a certain type (ie a "foot on the ball" offensive type player), which we have now got. And some of them may well be wasting their time, in common with loads of younger players at every club in the country.
  14. Maybe Lee Holmes will step up to the plate.
  15. I agree, they have been more consistent lately. I still think that, in terms of predictions, it is quite a punt to assume they will win all four home games and average 2 points away from home. They may well do it, and if they do then fair play to them as 22 points from 9 matches is better form than any team in the top 4 divisions has managed over the season.
  16. Peterborough have 4 home games and 5 aways. If you assume they win all 4 home games (which is by no means certain) then they need to average two points per game from their away games (which include Huddersfield and Orient) to get 22 points. They currently have amassed 23 points from 18 away games. I haven't got my calculator out but that is evidently less than 1.3 points per match. Therefore, if anyone thinks Peterborough will get 22 points (or better) then they are assuming they will hit their best form of the season by some distance over the remaining games. So a far more sensible prediction is that they will get something like 17-20 points - which is still a good return from 9 matches. Therefore, I would respectfully suggest to Alpine that the suggestion we need 20 points from 10 matches (League winning form) is not at all loony, and if anything, is probably on the high side.

    'tis a riposte rarely matched.
  18. He appears to take penalties with his right foot.
  19. Wembley final aint gonna happen...
  20. Of course circumstances have changed! last year we had to build a squad from scratch. This year we don't.
  21. Fonte was an exception as Palace were fecked. Lambert was a third tier player from a small club with limited prospects. You are not saying anything sensible.
  22. Because it's fecking hard for a third tier team to sign a player from the league above without paying over the odds for them. It doesn't point to a lack of cash, merely that we don't see the way forward as being spunking cash left, right and centre. Norwich couldn't sign M-S and they have a decent chance of being in the Prem next year.
  23. Plus it seems pretty likely we tried to sign Mackail-Smith which would've been a seven figure fee.
  24. Championship players signed this season: Butterfied Chaplow Forte N'Guessan Serie A players signed this season: Guly League One players signed this year: Dickson Richardson Stephens Yeah, you're right.
