I think we would keep: Davis All four full-backs Martin, Seaborne, Jaidi (if he wants to keep playing) Hammond Chaplow Forte Lambert Barnard Guly Plus Mills, Gobern etc... We would still have a bloody strong League One spine and we would bring in about £20m in transfer fees which is ridiculous for a third tier team.

I did wonder what you were talking about Hammy. Thought it might be something to take to PM....

Don't worry. For every one we fire we can flog another to some despot.

It's not really that imperative. This is year 2. If we go up in year 3 would we still have 2 years to get to the Premier League in accordance with the stated time line. (Queue someone saying who the squad will be "ravaged", "decimated", "ruined" etc if we don't go up.)

Like Alpine but without the comedy.

Guess I can give up on getting an away ticket to Brentford or Plymouth as well then! -
apart from the Family Section. F-me, that was quick!

Indeed.

Let's not forget that had the lino done his job properly this place would be full of posts saying what a legend Danny N'Guessan is and what a good signing it was.

Hatch, I have a plan. I will supply you with miscellaneous household junk and a persuasive cover story. We sell it to your sugar daddy. We split the cash. Deal?

You can't say Knut?! FFS.

Apparently we're after Stephan ****z. Lolzz!!11

Knowing the FA they will probably give him the job the day before the verdict is due on a bumper 10 year deal with no ability to terminate without paying him £1bn for life.

No PM ever "answers a question". They deliver a monologue. Cameron is much much much much much much much better at it than Brown.
-
I did indeed. And where did you hear it?

Seriously, is Redknapp's case listed for five weeks?

Are the goalposts being shifted or what? Are we now saying that the scenario is this: We have fallen way behind in the race for second and Lallana and Chamberlain are only just recovering from injury. And the question is: Do we rush them back bearing in mind we have little chance of second or de we ensure we have the best possible chance of winning the play-offs? Well, obviously then it's the latter but that isn't the scenario at the moment. If the question is: Do we give up on second now? Then the answer is clearly: No, don't be a spazz.

Can't argue with that. I still reckon there is something up our sleeves. Forte was a deadline day signing I think...

Lowe isn't inherently bad. He did some good things but some shockingly bad things and the damage of the bad far outweighs the utility of the good, in hindsight. Having said that, he may perversely have delivered us to the Liebherrs which might turn out to be the best thing of all in the long run.
-
We are only "threadbare" if Lallana and Chamberlain are injured for some time and even then we have options. It has nothing to do with resources IMO. If we had "resources" issues we would have sold Chamberlain in January and wouldn't have signed Guly and Chaplow. If Lallana and Chamberlain are going to be alright within the next week or so then we don't need anyone, although it would be good to get someone at CM if there is one out there who could challenge for a first team place. It's nice that there is a day (today) in between the match and the closing of the window as it gives us a chance to assess Lallana and Chambo.

Because Solent seemed obsessed with recalling Puncheon last night...
