  1. You apologise and tell them that if they wish to cancel their membership as a result of the changes you will refund them pro rata for the remainder of their membership year. I'd be more worried about losing the already paid up members who are expressing concerns about the way this place is run and operated than of losing the number (seriously, how many, 1, 2?) of people who would genuinely be annoyed enough to quit on the basis of those changes.
  2. Glory Murp.
  3. Plus another. I'm all for banning people who are clearly intent on doing nothing other than post contrary views for the sake of getting a rise (Scooby - laughably not banned for months). Banning people for funny or sarcastic posts is stupid though. That is a feature of the kaleidoscope of human discourse. FFS. Another problem is the profligacy of pointless and sparsely populated sub-forums which discourage and hinder participation. There should be a Saints forum, an away forum, an overseas Saints forum and a general chat board. That's all. Also, I agree that anyone should be able to start a thread.
  4. The cheating ho' bag...
  5. Site Suggestions....!!! Site ****ing Suggestions!!! No one reads Site Suggestions. FFS.
  6. This this has been posted on here before (and it's a long read but well worth it if you have a spare 30 minutes or so!) http://www.419eater.com/html/bigman.htm
  7. But I like some of them.
  8. A "Talib", more than one "Taliban". Don't thank me. I impart wisdom for free.
  9. Actually, now I've read that I can see it's exactly the same. Sorry pfc123, I was wrong and you're a bit of a legend.
  10. FFS - do we have to see this? Even if it is actually something that looks like an old person's shaft and ring and not an actual wrinkly wiener and poop-chute.
  11. pfc123 - I might explain it to you tonight if I can be bothered.
  12. Except that Sheffield to Nottingham is the equivalent of Saints to Reading. 2,200 is not "about right" - it's bloody good.
  13. Pretty sure you did say that someone from Germany was coming along with loads of cash though. There was some ******** about Chinese investment too. Either way, you appear a ****.
  14. No idea. That's not what the thread is about. I think we have what you might call "benefactors" owning us though. Like Abramovic, if you will, but without the all the oligarch baggage. This is why Saints have one of the brightest futures of any club in England. It's great
  15. I keep having to sit next to ghastly people so hopefully it's a nice cheap free-for-all and I can get a nice ST seat in the Itchen or something.
  16. pfc123 has a very limited understanding, evidently. I suggest we leave him to enjoy bathing in the warm glow of Pompey's brand new secure future.
  17. He is returning to work, yeah? Sounds like a "back to work" meeting rather than a disciplinary? The fact is, even if they wanted to, they would be very cautious about dismissing someone with a disability (and it sounds like your mate might have one). Do they know that he stabbed himself? I imagine they are pretty concerned, justifiably, by the sounds of it, of the possible implications of having him at work if he is mentally unstable to the point of being a danger to himself or others. I think it would be sensible to try to find out exactly what the point of this meeting is before formulating a "strategy".
  18. Come off it. He has hardly made any serious errors in the last couple of seasons - certainly not ones where you could lay the blame for a goal at his feet.
  19. That's my main gripe with him. Whenever he has a bit of space and knocks it out of his feet the attempted ball is nearly always highly predictable and has a pretty poor success rate. He hardly ever trys something a bit inventive. Nearly all our good through balls from CM come from Hammond.
  20. Economists, generally, are pretty rubbish at predicting the future. If you were to test, to any scientific rigour, economic predictions that weren't qualified to the point of meaningless or generalised to the point of uselessness you would probably soon conclude that the predictive value of economic "experts" is pretty minimal. However, he might be right.
  21. ps - PFC123, are you Peter Storrie?
  22. Except your only "outgoings" in your calculation are wages. Wages at 100%+ of turnover from normal operations = hello again, Mr Admin Man. I imagine you intend to spend some other money too, or is every penny through the door otherwise net profit in PFC world? Face it - you still have a completely unsustainable financial model. Your club is worth nothing, your resources are meagre and the only reason the current owner is still there is to try to extricate himself from a rather large mess with as little damage as possible.
  23. It's not ridiculous at all. Chamberlain is a 17 year old playing at Saints, as was Theo. Let's not pretend Theo's career hasn't been a disappointment for someone with so much promise though. Do you think Barca, Real Madrid and Man U would still be willing to pay top dollar for him now? And a "key player" for Arsenal? Really?
  24. TBF, I don't have a clue who plays in League One apart from our players and the players we are linked with. The only player I've noticed this season is O'Grady of Rochdale who had a really good game and he is a striker.
