Yeah, that's the "****ing mental" option.

The Spending Review (tackling the Socialists debt mountain)

I would imagine the private sector has already been hit much harder than that. -
Derby and Forest are both much bigger than Leicester IMO. I would say Leicester are about the same size as Pompey, Milwall, Fulham etc...

Has anyone figured out wtf Bridge Too Far is banging on about yet?

Are you ****ing mental or just trying to get a reaction?

How could I forgot Barry Horne's goas!? It curved right, then left, then dipped, then rose a bit, then curled again... Also, that cup match against Spurs. FFS.

If ever there was a case for a Rule 1!!!

This echoes my thoughts exactly. Yes, it was a shame to miss the early 80s successes and yes, we had a couple of rotten seasons, but what a laugh overall. So much fun. Particular stand out memories are Matty against Newcastle, Liverpool at home with the orange ball, 6-3 v Man U, Matty's free-kick against Wimbledon, West Ham (?) at home when Mickey Evans headed the post and ball into the net, Villa fans in fancy dress invading the pitch, £3 pay on the day for league cup games, Marco Almeida(!), Cosimo Sarli(!), Franny, Doddsy, The Ugly Inside (despite the politics it was often pretty funny), The Polygon Hotel, On The March, "One Vision" by Queen, being able to say stuff to the linesman and knowing he could hear you, being able to say stuff to opposition players and knowing they could hear you (eg. David Beckham wedgie-mooney), leaving parents' evening early to go to a match... ahh, great days!

The cuts really aren't as big as the doom-mongers would have you believe. They are around 4%. Public spending has gone up under Labour by many, many times that amount. Have your lives all improved by 60% under Labour? The issue is that spending cuts are usually mitigated by governments by some monetary loosening, however at the moment there is no where to go on the monetary side apart from up. The key therefore will be to ensure that confidence isn't rocked too hard - as everyone knows, expectation is a huge driver of macroeconomics. It would help if all political parties could try to work towards this rather than run purile and infantile arguments about "hitting the bankers instead" etc. -
I'd sooner have West Brom in the Prem than Leicester. But I agree with your general point.

What do you mean? I can only see one person in that picture.

Thanks. It just felt right. Of the moment.

It's ok, the man from Frankfurt will be coming with the money soon; once he's picked up his noodles.

Nah, it's still funny. And you still come across as a thoroughly unpleasant **** without a single redeeming fibre to your being.

This is often a hot topic that crops up on threads on here so I thought I would flag the fact that Dispatches on 4 is currently looking at this issue. Bit of a facile effort so far but I'm taking notes in the hope of increased future prosperity so will offer my further thoughts later. Regards.

Maybe it's some sort of "cor blimey guv" thing? Do they have tomatoes in the East End?

A critical appraisal of the first quarter of the season.

Who gives a toss what's happened up to now? The point is that we are 7 points off an automatic spot. The target has to be, IMO, to get this down to a maximum deficit of 3 points (ideally we would be better than that) by January transfer window. If we are in with a good shout of auto come January then we will be in a good position to recruit strong players and finish in the top 2. So, we have two and a half months to make up four points or so on second place. That is realistic and achievable IMO. We will start to score more goals. There are players in the squad who bagged a few last season who haven't got any yet. They will do. Ricky will start playing better at some point. Barnard will go on a run. Lallana is returning to full fitness. No need to panic - the season's obviously not turned out to be the cake walk it probably should have been but if we can be right amongst it by January we will still rightfully be favourite to go up. Our problem so far has been our home form which has been compromised because of missed chances - nothing more, nothing less. Form is temporary, class is permanent. -
There are so many pathetic tossers in this world.

You had another match today?
-
We don't score therefore we need to sign a Galactico striker. Rarely has such infantile twaddle been peddle under more absurd a soubriquet.
-
Yeah, yeah, cut to the chase... Does he have brown sauce, does he have red sauce or does he have no sauce at all?
-
What a strange thread.

Look, no offence but you don't know what you're talking about.

Didn't ask - sorry!

Nah, someone better than that.
