Yeah, Guan 2.0, I think that's pretty much how I feel about it.
-
I don't think anyone disagrees with that. I hope we splash the cash.
-
Yeah, but that season was absolutely ridiculous from our point of view - an amateur manager, a despised chairman and players no one had ever heard of. What did Leicester average the season they were relegated? I think if both clubs were on a similar footing, success wise, we would get easily the bigger crowd.

Arguably, and it's naught but my opinion, David Hughes could have been one of our best midfielders, maybe even the best midfielder at the club. Unfortunately he always seemed to be injured. I bet he was no stranger to the treatment room! What do people think, Saints fans?
-
Not sure why people always throw Leicester about as a sort of similar sized club. It's poopycock and balderdash - we are a much bigger club than Leicester. You don't need huge investment to make a difference in the Champ. Assuming we have zero debt liabilities then a transfer fund of something like £5m-£10m would give us a good shout of going up, especially if we still have the likes of Lallana.

Let me know how you get on, Dog. I had an accident with some chillies once which was both bad and good at the same time so I am interested in this. Thanks.

Speaking of the Championship, did anyone watch the Welsh derby? Couldn't believe how poor Cardiff were. Utter gash.

People buy it to read titlle-tattle about Saints and match reports etc. The source of a photo appearing in said match report is presumably of little concern to any casual reader. The club does not need the Echo one jot. The converse is not true and if Murray had any sense he would STFU.

Why would Cortese make public statements at odds with the wishes of the people who are, effectively, his employers? How does he benefit from that? How does anyone benefit from that?

SAINTS CELEBRATE 125 YEARS at the Mayflower Feb 13th 2011

Will David Connolly be there? I, for one, would be interested to hear about the challenge of being the club's best striker whilst being somewhat injury prone. -
Oh dear. Sorry to hear that. Get on the medicine.

I think the managers should nominate a senior management figure from amongst the group of most venerable Premier League clubs to announce the rankings on air each week. Maybe Roy Hodgson could do it?
-
I felt a bit subconscious the other day too Chez, but I couldn't be sure what it all meant.

Who needs an "excuse" FFS?!
-
Melodramatic nonsense.
-
Er, clearly they aren't "banned". Photography maybe.

Would this thread have been possible under the old regime?
-
We would if we were doing well.

Charles Darwin, Michael Palin, Wilfred Owen, Mary Webb, Clive of India...

I toyed with the idea of including Heseltine. I decided that his eyebrows had too much gravitas for this thread. -
Again, wtf is your point? Are only people who intend to go the match allowed to comment on the draw? Stop being a tit. I am making a comment about the draw. My view is that I am completely ambivalent and probably won't bother with the match. That is a legitimate comment on the draw. As for the "big draw" in the third round - I might go; depends if the match in question is attractive or not in terms of time and effort to attend. The same as league matches. I won't be going to Carlisle away because it is a massive effort and not worth the time and cost. I did, however, go to Bristol away and Notts County away because I believed the time and effort involved would not outweigh the utility to be gained from going. This is how most people decide whether or not to do something.

The Go Compare advert is class.

That's a strange question. Are you trying to make a point? If you are, I suggest you attempt to articulate it rather than posing obtuse questions.
-
Oooohhh, you can't say that. He's French you know, which means not only that you can use pretentious French phrases to mask his shortcomings but also that he is good enough for Arsenal.

Cheltenham are in the league are they? News to me.
