Not sure I understand that thinking either. IMO you either put out your best team or you put out a second string team, with one or two first teamers who would benefit from further match time. I wish we had done that latter thing: second string team including Richardson and Chaplow, who haven't played a lot recently.

Apart from when he gave Hammond a decent partner at Notts County enabling us to take a real hold of the game and win comfortably.

It is perfectly consistent to be a loyal fan and to decide not to attend certain matches. If you can't bear to miss a match that badly there's probably something wrong with you.
