  1. Mate, I didn't go to it!

Oceana I believe. I seem to remember a photo of Jaidi in a particularly... er, vivid shirt.
  3. That's a surprise!
  4. That may or may not be true but it doesn't affect the liability of the promoters to live up their own billing one iota.

I said the same thing to my mate on the day!

I'm scared for his health should we win anything major with him around. Just watched the highlights for the first time and yes... I did see it correctly on the day. Charging up the aisle to get a hand on the cup pronto. What a loon. I hope we sign him.

I think that's one of the funniest things I've ever read.
  8. Oh yeah, I can't wait! I almost feel sorry for their small proportion of fans who aren't complete ****s.
  9. He's always had a top work rate for us and tracks back as willingly as any winger.
  10. Train up on Saturday for £1. Train back on Monday for £1. Result.
  11. Agree completely. I was impressed with the "customer experience" (for want of a better way to sum it up)... particularly in terms of getting in and out of the stadium. The PA got on my nerves, not due to the sound quality, just due to the desire to squeeze some music in at all costs. The food prices are astronomical but you know that in advance so get some food before or after. Simple. £4 a pint is roughly what you would expect to pay at most premium sports venues and is not much more than many pubs. As to whether it was all money well spent.... I'm not sure. I think the Millenium stadium was uncommonly cheap though and comparisons between now and then are not really like for like. For starters the price of steel went up massively over the last few years and the cost of finance is obviously higher now also.
  12. I thought the whole thing was insipid and tiresome. The questions were rarely answered and the host did nothing to justify his presence. Complete waste of time.
  13. The best thing about this thread is that I am planning what I would do differently / the same the next time we go to Wembley and it doesn't feel stupidly unrealistic to do so.
  14. Would we have to listen to Kasabian?
  15. Why did anyone think £3.33 was a good price for a pint in an awful area of London (especially when you add the £10 entry fee) anyway? You can get a good quality pint in central London for £3.50.
  16. I was in the section where the Northam lot were and there were definitely boos straight away. The only conclusion can be that a lot of the Northam lot are a bit mental.

You could have done what the fella on my train did on Saturday night and **** in a bin.
  18. Yeah, loads of people
  19. Anyone who enjoys winding people up on the internet is pretty pathetic IMO.
  20. I will be in Borough on Saturday evening. No plans for the Sunday night yet - any good shouts?
  21. Aye Swindon away reminded me of the times I used to go to early League Cup away ties when we were in the Prem. That sinking feeling that no player is going to do themselves justice, that a less talented team will do you because they're better organised, that the home fans will be talking about beating Southampton. Absolutely gutting.
  22. Fair points - that away leg was amazing, despite the result. I'll tell you what: JPT win this year Auto promotion next year Championship play-offs the year after How does that grab ya
  23. That's rubbish. If he was, his analysis wouldn't extend beyond, "we'll be wanting to score more than them", "we'll not be wanting to concede one".
  24. There must be a possibility that PFC still owe them £250k (or more) and they are simply willing to waive that final payment upon cancellation now of the loan ie. they don't think they'll get paid so they might as well get their man back.
