  1. You're right. I really must do a couple of coaching courses then I'd be able to tell Mourinho, Ancelloti, Wenger, Pardew etc to get a few more out-and-out wingers on the pitch and people would have no choice but to stand up and take notice of me.
  2. Not to play the cup-tied players yesterday would be madness when we have two cup matches coming up this week. We played a decent-ish side on an awful pitch and got a draw. Decent result. Move on please.
  3. It's funny isn't it! Next week it will be width, pace and height. The week after it will be width, pace, height and a wicked sense of humour... etc
  4. And now they're winning.
  5. In other interesting news, Wolves tried a flick-up-and-volley freekick in the style of MLT v Wdon today. Interesting!
  6. This is not true. Guarantees are commonly executed as deeds precisely to get around any arguments about them being lacking for want of consideration. There may be issues around corporate capacity and authority but, as you say, no doubt Grosvenor will have done all the necessary legals before accepting the guarantee. I'm sure it's valid even if the commercial benefit to PFC is somewhat unclear.
  7. Narrow? I take it you didn't go yesterday or are you determined to talk about width after every match come what may.
  8. God, you're boring. Do you think play-offs are realistic now? Well they're not IMO. Therefore the cups are more important. You of all people, Mr Glass-half-empty, Mr Misanthropy, Mr Monotone, Mr Greyskies, Mr Blah, blah, blah have the temerity to chastise people for "lack of ambition". PMSL.
  9. Where did I say it's "nothing to worry about"? Although, I don't think "worry" is a helpful response. I said it's not evidence that the team is going backwards and that saying it is is silly.
  10. Indeed; it's gonna take more than a paper rumour about a Saudi prince! I still think this was simply a lesson-leanring exercise for Chanrai to assess whether there was any point in making another loan. If no one looks like completing a deal tomorrow (lol), he will call the administrators on Tuesday I expect.
  11. No problem!
  12. If a few players have a bad day then why would that mean the team is "going backwards"? It's just a silly thing to say. At the end of the day it's not a bad result on an awful pitch. It's not the sort of result that will get us into the play-offs but that would be down to our poor start not the team now.
  13. I agree with this largely. Also, if the OP was intended to imply that Seabourne has somehow weakened us then I disagree completely. He has been good both times I've seen him and I would expect he and Fonte to be quite formiddable next season.
  14. Well they don't. Not this season.
  15. That made me laugh too. W******d-lite. What a numpty.
  16. God job that's not a block-headed generalisation.
  17. Jacob was on 5Live this morning. Said he was confident they wouldn't go into admin. Also said they were in talks with a couple of interested parties but he didn't sound upbeat at all. Not convincing! Frankly, I don't expect him to know what Chanrai is up to anyway.
  18. In the absence of any agreement from the creditors, Pompey will have to show they are solvent (lol) in order to avoid being wound up.
  19. I agree in as much as we have been unable to dominate in some matches. I don't think its anything indemic or structurally deficient though, I just think it's a combination of not quite having the right mix yet (ie central midfield), fluctuating form and having to play at sub-standard bogs like yesterday. I think we have dominated some matches recently. MK Dons away in the first leg, for example. One of the best Saints performances in years. We controlled the whole match and made them look silly.
  20. It is pointless though. If Cortese moves Pardew on between now and the end of the season then what people think about it will be interesting. It isn't now.
  21. You been impressed with Otsemobor then? I don't think he has made any particular howlers you can point at but Thomas is a much better defender IMO.
  22. 100% correct.
  23. Lol - we will be red hot favourites to win the league at a canter next season, and quite rightly.
  24. That goodness we didn't as we would have been beaten comfortably.
  25. I was there. The pitch was the worst I'd ever seen.
