  1. Has anyone considered a Gus Poyet / Patrick Colleter dream team?
  2. Has anyone ascertained what this thread was supposed to be about yet?
  3. Nathan Tyson is a player I've seen play a few times in League One. He's a bit rough around the edges but is lightning fast and can play wide left if needed as well as up front. Didn't seem to get much of a run-out with Forest last season. They seem keen to spend a bit this summer and, as we know, have acquired a couple of forwards. I reckon we could get Tyson and I think he'd be a good signing. We don't have any players with genuine "defender-****s-their-pants" pace at the moment, apart from a couple of the nippers. It's a shame we weren't in a position to offer contracts when McGoldrick left as we might have been able to do a swap.
  4. If you pull out of the deal "due diligence will be complete". It means nothing. This guy sounds like a bit of a bounder really. I reckon he might regret going public so early. The question is, can he withdraw gracefully or has he now shafted himself to the point where he has to complete in order to save face? I imagine he is hoping to complete but at a much lower price than Gaydamak was after.
  5. Last season wasn't it? Against Exeter. Not that it matters.
  6. Too sensible for SRS f'sure.
  7. I agree with the gist of what you're saying although I think the "feelgood factor" will still be present at the first league game, regardless of pre-season (unless Branfoot, Wigley or Adams are given the manager's job). It's important that we remember that, despite now having a dream owner: we will be bottom of the table for at least the first three matches, probably longer we currently have a squad containing some players that would rather be playing for a club in a better division we have a squad that contains a lot of players whose only first team experience is largely that of losing matches We need to be patient. Personally, I would be happy enough if we finished mid-table this season and laid down some good building blocks for the future.
  8. Well, I'm sure it's hard for them not to be shocked at your stultifying block-headedness.
  9. It's nothing of the sort. The people he worked under were supportive of him and he was then shafted and forced out by an incoming board. His memories of his time here will be positive. I've no idea if there is any truth in the rumours or not, but I doubt very much that NP holds this view.
  10. Indeed, and they knew naff-all about the takeover this time round.
  11. Jolly good. Maybe he can come along to a match again some day next time there is a "legends" gathering or some such event.
  12. I am fairly confident that South Today have no more clue than your average paper-reader, message board observer. They knew bugger-all about the takeover until the last minute.
  13. No, I will excuse those about to attend or play football. You are forgiven. I will not excuse those watching a match on the telly in the pub or those who consider a football shirt to be acceptable casual / leisure wear.
  14. Whatever the argument, anyone who goes to the pub in a football shirt has lost it.
  15. No problem with Guided Missile per se, but this thread is over the top in my opinion.
  16. The Original Poster obviously has a chip on his shoulder... I have no idea why, but I'm sure people will make their own suppositions. This thread should have been locked straight away as it amounts to nothing more than a sad smear-attempt based on not one single verified fact.
  17. The average internet-geek wastes 6 months of their life restarting the same dull-headed boring and jealous threads over and over and over.....
  18. You boring bastard.
  19. Whatever you do, don't use the NHS online symptom checker. It's an irresponsible piece of **** that inevitably advises you to call an ambulance and tells you that you will die quickly if you don't.
  20. Anyone who bangs the seats up and down should be taken away and experimented on.
  21. Tony Adams? No, no, no, no, no thank you.
  22. If I was Jones I might be looking for a new job too....!
  23. WGS leaving was not a bad thing in itself (it was made a bad thing by the complete shambles that Lowe followed it with) - I don't think WGS could have taken us further and it was time for someone to pick up the mantle. That said, we now have a huge potential again and he seems as good as anyone when it comes to appointing someone to help fulfil it. My only concern is that things are never quite the same the second time...
  24. I know someone with a lob-on.
