Here's a thought for those who like to pin the majority of the cause for our current embarassment on the two years when Lowe was away: Wilde's board spent a lot of money. They buggered up the finances to the point where we were not viable in the long-run. They did something about it. They did something that no other board has managed to do. They attracted investment. They were poo-pooed by the shareholders. They left. All major shareholders are to blame for this shambles but one stands head and shoulders above the others when it comes to abysmal management that has had a direct measurable effect on the pitiful shower of **** on the field.

In a normal market, I would say McGoldrick is worth £1,500,000 bare minimum. He's a much more impressive player than Best or Blackstock and both of those were worth around £750,000 I think? If we need the money desperately, then clearly we will probably have to undersell people. However, it's all academic to speculate on transfers really - until we get new owners there will be no activity. With any luck the new owners will have enough clout not to have to sell everyone. Who knows?!
