  1. Actually that is a position we badly need filling (along with an experienced CB). Unfortunately Reed and co. wasted the £19m on the clown's donkey, and both positions still need filling.
  2. Laurel, by a country mile. He was brilliant. Hardy too.
  3. Unlikely, it's completely different this time. There had been a power struggle at that time, Pearson was a Leon Crouch appointment, and a vindictive Lowe wasn't going to reappoint him for that reason. By all accounts the current board are more than happy with Hughes, not least of which because he saved their incompetent arses.
  4. A lot of egg on a lot of faces. Yes Mane was crap in some of his first few matches, but he had a good record from his previous club. It was obviously too soon to write him off. Carrillo on the other hand has been crap in his first few matches and was also crap for his previous club. I think it's already clear he is crap.
  5. You can't blame a teacher if his student is as thick as a bag of rocks.
  6. That's certainly true for the pub level striker we recently bought.
  7. Not to mention the Puel and Clown payoffs. And also throw in £10m or more lost position money from our appalling season. If I were Gao I'd sack Bunsen and Beaker for £40m in lost revenue.
  8. Yes, but how many of the Belgian squad play in the PL? Oh ......
  9. We couldn't recall Gallagher in January, IIRC.
  10. Keep telling yourself that Les.
  11. Yes. The clown is as thick as a pile of bricks, and is a fraud masquerading as a manager. Truly appalling. He makes Wigley and Br*nf**t look like Mourinho. But don't forget Saggy, who I think just about edges him for top spot in the all-time worst list. That bastard relegated us, thumbed up Mad Milan after the 4-1 nightmare at Krapp Nottarf, and generally did his best to slag off and undermine our players. He knew how to spend other people's money, but had no idea or interest in coaching. Another fraud, and obnoxious to boot. And of course he buggered off back to P*mp*y as he left the sinking ship.
  12. Sorry Les, you were wrong about that for the last two seasons, and you're wrong again now.
  13. But if Bunsen and Beaker remain I can see them selling Gabbi, loaning out Gallagher again (without a recall clause), and bringing in no new striker (thinking we'll be fine with who's left). Muppets.
  14. Absolutely. And it's been this way since Mane and Pelle left. Then we also lost JRod and essentially replaced him with the clown's non-scoring joker from Monaco. In summary: Austin - Can score, but we all know about his injury record, and even when fit rarely lasts 90 minutes. Gabbi - Can score, but inconsistent and the formation has to be just right for him. Long - Works hard but can't score. Carrillo - Can't do anything. Get rid of the clown's clown and bring in an Austin who is fitter. If Gabbi and/or Long go they need replacing too. It's a long season.
  15. I assume you'll rent a car? If you can find something affordable Del Mar is a very nice beach town, with easy access to La Jolla, Coronado, Pacific Beach, and downtown/gaslamp. The latter is also very convenient, but be careful to avoid renting in the dodgy areas just outside downtown.
  16. That goal cost us £2m. Add in £19m wasted on the clown's joke Monaco player and the overall cock up this season of not sacking him months earlier, hopefully all of that and finishing 17th will be the straw that will get Bunsen and Beaker sacked.
  17. I remember someone posted something very similar, about 8 years ago. I think he called us nutjobs.
  18. Not to mention (on the top of my head) Osvaldo (MP), Pelle, Cuco, Tadic (RK), and Pied (CP).
  19. I think I've spotted the flaw in your argument.
  20. Was that written when it looked like we were going down?
  21. Ok, big city and decent sized club. My point stands, I'd rather have the likes of Burnley and Bournemouth than bigger clubs that are more likely to survive long-term.
  22. Exactly. Why would we want the big clubs like Leeds, Villa, Birmingham, etc. to get their shit together and return and establish themselves in the PL? It would make us an even smaller fish in a big pond, with a much bigger chance of going down.
  23. I'm trying to think of 2 teams Hants may be able to finish above. Worcestershire and um .....
